Nodoka blinked as she saw the Tendo yard. There was some property damage, nothing new there, the Tendos were standing around looking at some new fellow, her husband looked shell-shocked, those wonderful Diggers' girls were here with their mother. Nodoka hoped that either Brianna or Gina bedded her son, she wasn't getting any younger and she wanted grandbabies. She went over to Julia, "Hello, Julia dear, who is this fellow here?"
Julia looked at Nodoka and wondered how she was going to take this. "Uh, Nodoka, that's your son."
Nodoka looked at the storm trooper crossed with the Incredible Hulk. "Ranma is that you?"
"Um, yeah mom." His voice was a little distorted, but still recongnizable.
"How'd this happen?"
Gina spoke up, "Well, Auntie it's like this." And Gina went on to explain how they had found a wrecked space ship, and Ranma came across this piece of technology, which led to two of Pee Wee's goons getting really hurt. When she scanned the alien technology, they figured out how to get it off, and Ranma decided to come back and inform everyone about the situation, but before he could Akane malleted him, smacked her family, and hurt Kasumi, and what Ranma did to her in return. "And now Mr. Tendo has just broken the engagement on his side, because of what Akane did."
Nodoka took everything in, and sighed and shook her head, "Seems like this kinda stuff happens to my son everytime we turn around. It's a good thing that you put her in the hospital Ranma, or I would have done it myself." Everyone reeled in shock, Nodoka threatening someone like that. Intellectually they knew she could and would, but they've never seen her do it. "Son what are your plans now?"
Ranma willed his armor away so that he could talk to his mother as a human again. "I'm going to go and help Strype save his people. He's a friend of mine and if anything happens to him, Britanny would be heartbroken. I made a promise to myself when I saw how heartbroken she was when he left, 'I'll do anything to make her happy again.' So I'm going to make sure he's alright." Everyone was more-or-less surprised by this, Gina and Brianna suspected something like this, but he had never said anything. Julia was proud of him, he loved Britanny so much that he'd do anything for her, even help her get together with someone else. Genma was shocked, his son was leaving, now no one would be around to keep the master in check. Nodoka and Soun were extremely proud of Ranma, doing everything he could to help his friends. Kasumi smiled, she knew that Ranma wouldn't do anything less for friends.
Nabiki ran up to him and hugged him, "You had better come back alive you big lug, or I'll never forgive you." She released the hug and smiled at him, "Even though you won't marry Akane, you're like a brother to me." She smirked, "One that I get to tease and extort anyways." They all had a good chuckle at that.
Ranma looked at everyone, "Well, I just came back to tell you of what's happening, so I'll be going in just a minute. But first." He went over to his mom and hugged her, while not overly big on emotions, he still knew when to give them, of course hanging out with the Diggers can change anyone's outlook on life. After releasing Nodoka Ranma told everyone, "I promise to return after we send the Dynasty packing. And I always keep my promises." He walked over to Gina and nodded, she used a light gate and the three Diggers and Ranma were gone in a flash.
One thought was on everyone's mind, even Genma's, 'Good luck and be careful.'
