All the members of the Masaki Shrine were worried. OK. That was an understatement. They were planning to run for their lives because a 20,000 year old genius was pacing around the house like a caged tiger. Everyone knew when she was in that kind of mood she wants the special sample from Tenchi but she has not asked for it.
From what they could hear from the mutterings of Washu and Ryoko's link with her the situation was like this.
Apparently Mihoshi had become a genie who granted wishes. However for one wish someone made a wish for someone else to be smarter. Well, it's written in Murphy's lawbook that no wish granted by a blonde galaxy police officer would come out right except for one chance. A one in a million chance.
Unfortunatedly, it didn't happen here. What happened was that person was made just as smart as the smartest person the detective knew and that was Washu. What made it worse was the fact he was claiming the title: Greatest Scientific Genius in the Universe. After Washu laid the smackdown on Mihoshi she started the pacing.
"What to do? What to do? Do I meet him as a perspective suitor or should I start a prank war with him?" Washu asked herself. Finally Tenchi got a little tired of watching her pace around and putting them one step in the grave.
"Washu-Chan." Tenchi calls. Washu looks up at Tenchi. "Why don't you meet this Ranma Saotome first then decide what to do? If there is one thing I know about you is that you like to have all the info about something first."
Washu is surprised then smiles. Then she nods and said,"Good idea Tenchi. That is what I will proceed to do."
Humming a little a ditty she goes back to her lab. After she is gone everyone stares or glares at Tenchi.
"What? You rather have her pace around her in that kind of mood?" Tenchi ask the group. Everyone shuddered at that thought then nodded in agreement. A few day without the mad scientist would be a vacation.
Now if they could only get rid of the ditzy detective forever instead of her coming back after three months would be heaven.
Meanwhile in the lab Washu is preparing to meet Ranma Saotome.
