Added in will be the Nerima mess, this being a Ranma/P.E. crossover, as well as others that may be using mitochondrial/nanotech augmentation like FOX-HOUND of the Metal Gear games. Feel free to add or adapt as you like. All I ask is it make sense.

It had been 4 years since the third go-round. Peaceful? Heck no, but that wasn't really hoped for. He'd just hoped to help her out, back then, and he'd managed to do so, if more indirectly than the first time thru for him. In New York.
"At least that time I didn't have to see anybody dive out of a helicopter I was in and deliberately risk death from self-combustion."
He murmured this to himself, the young child he was checking the reflexes and other basic health stats of being busy reading a DBZ Manga. The boy still turned, his hearing preternaturally sharp--They all had gifts, it's one way they could be found and brought in, for counseling--and he said "Did one of us kids do a Bad Thing, Doctor?"
The older, more healthy scientist (the Defense Force insisted he care for himself better, so he was able to help the Children) just shook his head. "No, son, it wasn't any of you. You're all here to learn the ways to avoid becoming.." He shuddered in memory, as did anyone that lived thru the events of that Christmas season, and cursed for the millionth time the Bitch's sense of timing, or was it black humor?
The lad smiled a bit that it wasn't one of his companions, but it had a dark quality. They had to tell the Children what could happen if they let themselves be lost in hate or power, after all. "You mean HER, then. The parasite."
The Professor, his degree and status now assured, tried to comfort his charge, but he couldn't even start before brave young Soraka said "It's okay, Doctor. I'm not scared of it, it's just.. it's like you told us. If we're lost, if we're broken, Eve wins. Tell me about her, which time was it you faced her? They edge around it at times. ...And I think we HAVE to know."
Professor Maeda sighed heavily, gathered his courage, and once more retold an old, nightmarish tale, in hopes that his audience would at needs stand it down, as his first real crush had done.
And all the while, the world was walking steadily towards Round Four. Some things, you just never put down forever.
