"Shiiiiishhh! ZaaaaaZooooooooooom!"
A blue streak was seen to blur along the road, too fast for the naked eye to make out. When it stoped the blur resolved into a young humanoid hedgehog with spiky blue hair that merges with the blue quills on his back. He was wearing a blue silk shirt with loose black pants and a pair of red sneakers, and a self confident smirk seems almost permanantly etched on his features.
"I'mmmm... waaaaiittting..." he drawled impatiently.
"Whirrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrlllllll!"
Trailing behind and straining too keep up was a very young kitsune with golden-red fur, flying along by what looks like a helecoptor propellor strapped to her buttocks. When she finally caught up, landed to pant heavily, this was revealed to be her two tails, spinning at an insane rate.
"Can't you (pant) slow down a little (heave) for me, Ranma-sensei?" she asked.
"I no can do, Akane-chan," Ranma told the fox-girl, "we're in training you know. You've just got to learn to keep up!"
"I'm doing the best I can, but, ... Yikes!"
The ground seemed to explode into a dust cloud around Ranma. When it cleared, a large red humanoid echidna, wearing a black and yellow bandana to keep his spiky hair tied down, could be seen with his gloved fist planted firmly in the crater where Ranma had been standing.
"Hey, Knucklehead," Ranma demanded from twenty feet away, "what's the big idea?"
"Heh! I almost got you that time, Ranma!" the echidna replied as he brushed the dust off of his spurs on his battle gloves.
"Nope, Dope. Not even close!" Ranma denied. "You're waayy tooo sloooow!"
"Hi, Ryoga!" Akane exclaimed cheerfully.
"Hey, A-chan," Ryoga greeted her cheerfully and ruffled her hair with his ham fist, "you still hanging around with this loser?"
"Stop picking on Ranma, Ryoga" Akane exclaimed loyally.
"What are you doing here, Knucklehead?" Ranma demanded. "Shouldn't you be guarding the Mistress Emerald? Or... did you get lost again?"
"Stop picking on Ryoga, Ranma!" Akane chirped up as Ryoga reddened even further.
"The Mistress Emerald kinda ... stolen," admitted Ryoga the Echidna.
"No way!" Ranma exclaimed. "If You-Know-Who gets his hand on the Mistress Emerald You-Know-What will happen!"
"Who stole the Emerald?" Akane demanded.
"Welll I'm not certain..." Ryoga admitted, "but I think it was ___
