Of course, once Xavier knew where to look, it was much easier to determine what was going on.
And when Ranma insisted on trying out the Danger Room, they received their first hint.
"Heh, this is cake," Ranma smirked as he dodged the attacking cannons and traps.
"Don't get over confident," Logan snapped from the control room.
"This is Mystique's son?" Cyclops asked Wolverine for confirmation.
"That's what she said," Logan noted, again not bringing up his own part in Ranma's parentage.
"Come on, old man!" Ranma laughed. "Tell them to get seri..."
Ranma was cut off as, in his inattention, he allowed one of the robotic arms to slam into him, sending the martial artist hard into a wall. Ranma slipped to the floor, dazed, and his arm hanging visibly too loose in his shoulder socket.
"Shit," Logan muttered, racing for the door to get to the danger room, even as Cyclops moved to shut down the simulation.
Weapons were already targetting on the young martial artist as they both moved. They would have been too late save Ranma, but fortunately, they didn't need to.
Ranma leaped out of the line of attack and landed, arm restored to normal condition, as the danger room shut down.
"Heh, that was a good one at the end," Ranma noted.
"Looks like he heals the way you do, Logan," Cyclops said in relief as Ranma wrung out his formerly injured shoulder and walked towards the exit of the room.
"Not the way I do," Wolverine said. "That shoulder wouldn't still be hurting him if he did."
"Come to think of it," Cyclops noted. "The sensors noted a slight energy discharge from him."

"It seems that young Ranma possesses a resevoir of energy," Professor Xavier said.
"You mean to produce those energy blasts we saw him use?" Cyclops asked.
"No, those are mystical attacks and come from a seperate resevoir," Xavier said. "Ranma uses the resevoir provided by his mutant genes as a sort of quick healing. If he is still in a fight and hurt seriously he can expend some of that energy unconsciously to heal enough to continue the fight."
"He has a second wind," Storm reasoned.
"And a third, and a fourth," Xavier added. "And so on until his resevoir runs dry. There may be other uses for his power, but that shall remain to be seen."
