For A Birthday: Building A Better Akane (LIME) [Episode 42601]

"Maybe...hmm...."

"Excuse me, sir?" Kumiko queried pleasantly.

"Hmm...." Ranma mumbled, his features screwing up into a look of intense concentration as he quickly ran through all the martial arts styles he had encountered in the past.

"Hmm...Martial Arts Takeout?...No..."

"Umm, sir?"

"Martial Arts Carpentry? Nah..."

"Sir?"

"Martial Arts Taxidermy? ... ... ...Tempting, but no."

Kumiko sweatdropped. Giving a put-upon sigh, she idly wondered just what had possessed her creator to place her as a sales representative. She swore that her customers just kept getting weirder with each passing day.

"Hmm...Martial Arts & Crafts? No. Martial Arts Polka? Nope. Martial Arts Pachinko? Nah...none of those are any good. I guess the normal styles will be fine...can't really ask her to put in Anything Goes after all. Besides...any look-alike of Akane's couldn't practice the Art to save her life, right?" Ranma mentally chuckled.

"Um...sir?" Kumiko tried again, "Will there be anything else?"

"Huh," Ranma continued to muse, "it'd be nice to have an Akane he'd be able to fight against. He wasn't really sure if he would be able to bring himself to go all-out against her, though. She did look a little too much like a real girl, after all. Still, it'd be nice to finally see an Akane excel at the art, and who knows? Maybe if the real Akane trained against this one, she might improve! Yeah...that'd be nice. It'd probably make her real happy too. Yeah. That was the ticket. Someone to train her up in the Art, make her better, build up her natural ability. He always knew that Akane was pretty darn good for the type of training she had been subjected to, but there had always been a part of him that had wished she had been more talented. Yeah, that's what he would do, it was perfect. Yeah..."

Now, before we continue here, let's take a moment to analyze the situation. Here we have a rather edgy salesclerk asking her customer for his model options and growing increasingly disturbed as said customer stands in the middle of the showroom floor muttering under his breath.

Here we also have a rather oblivious young man managing to stick his foot in his mouth yet again.

*************

"Huh....all-out...that'd be nice....build up...always wished she had been more talented..."

Blinking for a few moments, Kumiko cast a sidelong glance at the android's chest, then shrugged. Oh, well. He did say she looked like his fiancée, didn't he? Sure, the modifications would cost a little extra, but then again, this boy had to be wealthier than he looked, or else he wouldn't be in here, right? She had had more than her fare share of eccentric rich kids in the past, after all.

Besides, maybe this time the product wouldn't be returned.

Mentally sighing, she directed a slightly miffed look at the unassuming android. Lucky little tramp. She just knew that she wouldn't have gotten stuck in this hellhole of a job if her creator had seen fit to make her a little bit more 'talented'. Hmph! Men!

"Yep!"

Kumiko jumped slightly at the sudden yell, then turned back around to face the now attentive young man, a slight blush tinging her cheeks.

"Alright," Ranma grinned, "Yeah, go ahead and put in all that extra stuff."

"Very well," Kumiko nodded, "Well then, is that all, or will there be anything else?"

"Um, actually..." Ranma hedged,
