The booming footsteps stopped, and out from the shadowy passageway stepped a... thing.
It was indescribably hideous (which, of course, means we'll try to describe it anyway). It was roughly humanoid, except incredibly fat, a sickly green-yellow color, and with whitish blotches all over it's leathery and wrinkled skin. It had the normal two arms and two legs, but also had four sinuous tentacles waving from it's shoulders. It's skin dripped with ooze that Ranma and the girls could smell from across the room, and (this being a perverted demon) it was hung so as to make a horse jealous.
It was also almost visibly tottering, and it's chest heaved violently as it gasped for breath - clearly the years had not been kind to it. It stared at the humans with beady eyes half-filmed over with age and infirmity, and drool dripped down it's chin, mingling with the slime. To an observer of this scene, it would appear remarkably pathetic, on the whole.
Of course, those participating in the scene didn't notice the signs of weakness, wouldn't care if they did, and felt that it would be best to be on the safe side. The girls (especially those who were aware of the tentacle demon genre of anime) considered, and then nudged Ranma forward.
One cry of "Moko Takabisha!", and the aged tentacle demons blinked, looking crispy and even more pathetic. An almost visible gulp of revulsion and a shout of "Katchuu Tenshin Amaguriken!", and it whimpered and collapsed on the floor.
Ranma looked down at the unmoving hulk on the floor with a puzzled glance. "That's it? Man, that was pathetic." After his pronouncement, he sauntered back over to where Nabiki and the others waited. "That was easy."
Naturally, neither Ranma nor the rest noticed...
