For A Birthday: The fate that would have been in store for "Ranko"... [Episode 43042]

by Sunhawk

Ranma took a glance around as he waited for the programming to be complete. He was still kinda ticked off at Nabiki, but he figured that, since he got his gift for Kasumi and a new sparring partner - for free, no less - that... what was that english saying from Hinako-sensei's lesson yesterday? Ah, yes. "All's well that ends well".

Still, maybe he should check to see if others had had their likenesses sold to Cyberdyne by Nabiki... that'd give him something to use the next time she wanted to rope him into one of her little schemes...

He caught a glimpse of a familiar figure entering the office, and quickly picked up a magazine and hid his face. He wouldn't mind a fight, but the collateral damage to the office probably wouldn't be appreciated. But what was HE doing here?

"Yes, can I help you, sir?"

"Fair maiden, I have come for the images of my fierce tigress and beautiful pig-tailed goddess, for just this morning the mercenary Tendo Nabiki told me (for an insignificant amount) that they would be here, yearning for my touch! Here are the appearances of my two loves"

There was a sound that Ranma, half shocked and half outraged (and quickly becoming less of the former and more of the latter), identified as probably being photographs being dropped on the counter.

Kumiko's voice was cool and not at all as respectful as it was before.

"I'm sorry... sir. One of these models has been taken out of circulation, prior to legal investigations, and the other has already been sold."

"Who has dared?? Who?"

"I'm sorry, but Cyberdyne has a strict privacy policy regarding our customers," Kumiko said, not sounding sorry at all, "and so we cannot divulge that information."

Kuno sputtered, before breaking out into full-rant-and-threat mode.

"But I am -" was as far as he got before halting suddenly at a loud 'click'.

"It is also Cyberdyne company policy that bodily threats to Cyberdyne personnel shall be taken seriously. Please leave."

Ranma peeked over the magazine, his rage forgotten for the moment, and saw Kuno with his bokken raised over his head, sweating and staring cross-eyed at a VERY large handgun resting against the bridge of his nose.

The kendoist stammered and sputtered for a few seconds, before slowly lowering his wooden blade and backing out of the office. Once outside he started ranting about the "foul sorcerer" who denied his destiny at every turn.

Ranma looked back over to Kumiko, who was putting the gun back under the counter.
