“Are you sure the Moon ring is in this room?” Mercury demanded in astonishment. “What would she be doing here?”
“Hey, I just find them, I don't explain them,” Mars replied as she lept off of the bed and crossed to a drawer. “Anyway, Master, the ring is in here with toys ...euw... toys” She hastily closed the drawer.
“Then why don't you get it out?” Ranma asked.
“Genies can't move genie cages,” Mercury advised her.
“That's why the dark genies are manipulating innocents,” Saturn explained. “They can't effect us directly, but the innocents they control can.”
“So that's how Mars was corrupted?” Mercury observed.
“... and how Uranus and Neptune were enslaved,” Saturn added. “Once Moon cures you, maybe we should track Beryl down? With Moon on our side we can really kick arse and we owe her payback.”
“Sure thing," Ranma agreed and approached the drawer. “Er, Mars? Can you step out of the way.”
“What?” Mars startled then stepped away. “Oh, sorry.”
“What is your problem?” Saturn asked and looked into the drawer. “Epp!”
“Oh, my!” Mercury observed. “The dilation required to accomodate that cylinder would be most uncomfortable. Surely that isn't humanly possible! Although, maybe a genie...”
“Mercury!” Mars exclaimed.
“What are you talking about?” Ranma asked as she pushed aside the item under discussion and picked up a ring.
“Never you mind,” Mars sniffed. “But I can't wait to hear Moon's explaination.”
“Well, let's get on with it,” Ranma said as she slipped the ring on her finger and rubbed the yellow gemstone.
A beam of light decended from the ceiling and brightened into a flash. A beautiful blonde figure swirled out of the luminance then posed and anounced. “Fighting for love with light and metal, I am the beautiful Warrior Genie Venus. You wear my ring apon your hand, now your every wish is my command! How may I serve you master?” She took a deep breath which did interesting things to her bust, and looked around eagerly. “Er... Master?”
“Down here,” Ranma announced.
“Eee!” Venus screamed and jumped back and accused: “you're a little girl!” With a flash of light the almost-naked woman was replaced by another little girl genie wearing a more modest harem outfit.
“He's under an enchantment,” Mercury explaimed.
“So he's actually a handsome prince transformed into a little girl?” Venus asked hopefully. “And all he needs is a Beautiful Kiss from our princess to...”
“He's a nice little boy," Saturn corrected then added defensively, “but he is already a hero.”
“Although he can be bad sometimes,” Mars added dreamily.
“Otherwise, yes,” Mercury agreed, “we are looking for Moon to cure him.”
“I'm Ranma Saotome,” she introduced herself. “Pleased to meet you.”
“Uh, likewise,” Venus said with a wistful sigh. “Looks like Danburite's curse is still working.”
“You're cursed too?” Ranma asked.
“Well, sure,” Venus sighed dramatically. “Danburite was so jealous that I chose to be a Warrior Genie over him that he doomed me never to know love while I'm bound to my duty.”
“Right,” Ranma said, not knowing how to respond to that. “So couldn't Moon cure you?”
“It's not her domain,” Mercury explained. “Moon can handle Healing and Exorcism but Doomed Fate is a Time spell and that is more in Pluto's line.”
“So we have to find Pluto, too then,” Ranma descided.
Venus looked startled at the thought of a master who was interested in lifting her curse. “Pluto is almost as hard to find as ... Saturn?” She looked wide eyed at the little Genie of Void and Destruction, as if noticing her pressence for the first time. “You're active?”
Saturn nodded happily. “Master Ranma is special,” she grinned. “It looks like he's destined to bring all of us together again.”
“Cool,” Venus exclaimed. “We can have sleepovers!”
“Er... Something like that," Mercury agreed. “Now can you tell us why your ring was in this love hotel -although it kind of makes sense- and, more importantly, why your energy signature mimics Moon's?”
“Well, duh, I'm a decoy, aren't I?” Venus answered the second question. “Moon's ring is safely shielded where no one can ... find it... oh, damn!”
