{Urgh, wha' hit me?} the young teen groaned in his native tongue as he slowly came to, only to wince as memories of the fight filtered back. {Right, Saffron. Probably got hit by Akane's mallet or something when the mountain was collapsing… Wonder what happened afterwards? Sure hope Akane and the other's are okay.}
Slowly sitting up, Ranma looked around where he was and noticed he was NOT at Jusendo, nor his room back at the Tendo home. Looking around the darkness, before he noticed that it was in some type of room, a rather small room. No, now that he looked around more, he knew exactly what he in, a cell. He knew this from experience no thanks to the man he unfortunately called father. Because of Genma, he had been in several other various prison cells, on four separate continents.
Said 'room' probably wasn't more than two an a half meters in any direction and a single recessed fixture in the ceiling filled the room with a harsh florescent light. The only other furnishings, besides the bed, were a stainless steel toilet, a sink, and door that Ryoga would've had trouble getting through.
'Some friends they are, leavin' me to get placed in jail. Great.' Ranma sighed, as thoughts of everyone took to the back burner, while he shook his head and winced from the pain it caused, 'No use worrying about it now.'
Getting up slowly, he began to examine his injuries which he knew he had thanks to the pain he got as he moved. Whoever brought him here had taken care of them; wrapping his cracked ribs, resetting left shoulder, giving him a collar, bandaging the deep slashes on his ba-
'Wait, what was last one?'
His thoughts skittered back as his hands prodded around his neck and found his new neck wear. The collar he found seemed to be a seamless band about two centimeters wide and a single centimeter thick. 'Hmm, seems pretty light. Can't have much stuff in it… Probably just a tracker. Grrr… No seam. Not gonna be easy to get it off.'
Looking around, his thoughts were derailed once more when he got a look at himself in the only mirror in the room. 'Hey wait a minute… when do I have silver hair? Or for that matter, when are my are gold colored, or with slitted pupils?!?!?!'
Touching his face, Ranma's shock tripled again when he realized his hands had claws for nails. Looking down at his bare feet, he nearly screamed to see that his toes were no different. 'Just what the heck is going one here!?!?!?!'
"What do you mean he's human?" An irritated female voice drifted into the cell. Again, derailing the confused teen from thoughts over his new features. Allowing him to calm himself and begin to go deep in thought, attaining his perfect 'Soul of Ice' personality.
'Guess that means I'm not alone.' Taking one last look at his new… changes. He especially did NOT like those… cat… dog… whatever-like ears that were now atop his head. He vowed he'd find out what these people had done to him, after he had escaped. Especially since they made him look like a freaking cat.
'Alright, time to get outta here, and make those baka pay,' Ranma smirked. Pushing the thoughts of his injuries aside like had been trained to do, he darted over to the door and stood to the side, using a little bit of his ki, which for some reason became a struggle.
Pushing his will over his bio-energy, he mustered as much control over his boosted life energy, and slowly opened the view slit of the door. Peeking just outside its line of sight, Ranma let himself watch what was going on, and exactly who was talking. At the same time, he sent a small prayer to any Kami listening for letting him learn English during his travels.
"I mean exactly what I said, Raven. The boy has no x-gene, not even a latent one. However, he is NOT completely human," a male voice said. They were nearer now, almost outside the door.
"I watched him fight a very powerful enemy Eric, long before he transformed into… whatever the hell he is now! He was leaping nearly three stories in the air! He was throwing around energy blasts and tornados around like it was nothing! He was fighting and moving as fast as that boy of yours, maybe even better. Hell, his martial art skills made me like an amatuer." The woman named Raven paced around in frustration over what she had been just told. How could a boy do what he did without being a mutant!!! That had to be impossible.
Raven stopped, then continued where she left of, "That 'boy' actually gained a power boost in his already mutant abilities, making him even more better to fight his enemy, that other winged mutant with pyrokinetic abilities that make Pyro look like firefly. Hell, they… NO, HE leveled a mountain as collateral damage as he defeated that pyromanic mutant! He even got pinned to the ground by a falling boulder from it. It had to weigh at least six tons! Hell, he was lying under it when I found him, Magento! Not only that, it was propped up on his chest, and he survived! If it wasn't for the fact that you made Colossus come with me, I would've never been able to get him out of it." The woman, Raven, snarled very angrily. They were at the door and Ranma tensed, readying himself to strike.
"I'm not doubting what you saw, Raven. But, the boy is not a mutant. However, I wish to know what it is that he is exactly. My tests on his blood says he's not mutant, but it also says he's not entirely human either. As if he is some sort of half-breed. However, what that other half is, I wish to know." The view slit in the door slowly slid back, which would've remained unknown by Raven, however, her partner saw it.
"Hmm, it appears as though our 'friend' has awoken. Shall we see to him, my dear Mystique."
