"Why on earth I always end to these so called "date's"?"
He didn't want to remember, how he had fallen yet another Nabiki's little tricks. And, of cource, he had lost to her. As an result of that, he had to go with her to a date. Graciously Nabiki had left to his to decide where they woulg go.
So, out of spite he had chosen old amusement-park in the old part of downtown. It was old, without modern hight-tech gadgets. Instead it had traditional attractions; shooting gallery, house of horror, world wheel etc.
As the day had progressed, his fiancee front appeared. Of course Nabiki herself did little vahishing act, leaving him to mercy of his fiancees. To avoid inevitable fight, he had gotten idea that sounded fine to him. Ranma had ushered them to get something to eat for himself, he said that he will go with that one who brings best munchies. That Buyed him time to try get himself out of this mess.
And for Nabiki, who was bropably waiting in some bush with cmera.
"Problem is that all attractions require us to be together. I can't loose them if they hang onto me all the time."
Then suddenly answer came to him.
"Not all places, not in fun-house. I can loose him there, in the midst of all those mirrors. And it has several exits."
So when he came with they stuff, Ranma lead them into entrance of fun-house. Akane was against it at first, but when others agreed, she gave in.
Once inside, it was as dull place as he expected. Ranma successfully managed to part from his company, but managed to got lost.
"Damn this place is bigger that it look from outside," Ranma cursed as he tried to find way out.
Then hidden behind mirror, he found a door. Faded sign into it said; "employers only". Sadly it was locked.
Leaning into backside of that mirror that had hid this door, Ranma pondered her options. He saw three options, namely:
1) Stay here until Girls find her.
2) Forget this door, and try to find proper exit.
3) Break trough the door.
Option one was stillborn idea; he didn't want continue their 'date', nad fatten Nabiki's purse. Option two's problem was that Ranma could still stumble into them. That left third option, break trough the door. To any possible employers she could make some excuse.
Current situation was getting more and more in her nerves, so Ranma's more violent side began to surfase.
"Ah shod this, Beside this particular door doesn't look very well-build."
And indeed, it gives in after minor ki-burst. What he sees in the other side is not exit, but dimly lit corridor. Stale and musky air assails her noses trough the door.
"By the look of it, this place has been deserted for quite while," Ranma thinks as she peers inside. "Everything is covered with dust."
Anyway it presented way onwards, It was also probable that noise he made while breaking trough the door could attract his fiancees. So Ranma begin to walk down the corridor.
Mirrors of all size decorates the walls of the corridor; they range from small face-mirrors to bigger ones. Even he wasn't no expert, the fact that all frames look handmade made them all seem to him quite old.
The to Ranma's disappointment, corridor ends to a full wall mirror.
"Drat," he curses.
Faded-red rope, set in knee-high, was set in front of it. This fact, and the fact that it was also completely free of dust and cobwebs unlike all mirrors she'd seen earlier, caught his curiosity. So he inspects it more carefully.
From the rope hangs brass-plate dimmed with age. In the dim lighting of the corridor, she cann't make out what's written into it. So he focuses his attention the mirror itself.
Frames of this particular mirror are colorful, even garish. Bits of colorful glass are set into frames, and jester/clown-heads looks her from its corners. Mirror itself was apparently old, because he can only see fuzzy outline of herself. All and all it is impressive piece of furniture.
As he stares the mirror, Ranma notices that his mirror-image cames into focus. But instead if himself, mirror shows jester-like figure. It looks so outlandish that Ranma can only stare: It has red jesters cap, and she (yes it is she) wears red-green-colored full body suit. Suits tighter upper-part reveals female shapes, while bottom-section is more puffed. Image responds her movements, as proper mirror-image and it even matches his size.
"How does it do that?" Ranma wonders, as he touches his face. Image in mirror touches its face too. It's painted in traditional clown-style; white face, hight thin eyebrows, wide eyes, and big red smile.
There was one more strange fact; even image was sharp, background stayed fuzzy. He coudn't make out anything even leaning closer to mirror. Of course his image leaned too. Standing that way, his face was just few inches from her mirror-image.
"Even its eyes are same color as mine."
From this close effect is enchanting; Ranms didn't know how long he spend there staring her mirror-image to eyes.
"Interesting mirror, but it won't lead me out."
So Ranma began to straighten up. But while he had spend time staring her image from mirror, he had forgot the rope in front it. As a result, he stumbles, and began to fall towards mirror. Out of balance, he franticly ties to find support somewhere. Unintentionally Ranma pushes his hand toward mirror. To his surprise it sinks into mirror!
Ranma tries to yank it free, but no avail. All his efforts causes only minor ripples around her captured arm. He rests for a while, and tries again; Only managing to slip other arm into mirror after particularly hard try.
"Great. What to do now. Ki busrt are out of the question. kami knows how they effect this mirror."
There he stands both hands trapped in the mirror, looking his image in similar pose. When he get past the initial shock, Ranma notices that he can move her fingers in the other side (where ever it was) freely. His wrists feels as they had dipped in something cool and sluggish goo. But he was unable to move them anyway but inside.
"It seems that there is only one solution to this problem," he thoughts. "It's to go fully trough mirror."
He takes dew deep breaths, closes her eyes, and steps trough. Moment of numbing coldness, and she's trough.
And the otherside is...
