The subconscious is a tricky thing, truth be told. The normal rules just simply don’t apply; two plus two could equal 4, 10, 11, 42, or anything else a person’s mind might come up with. Contradictory desires and goals can all come true in the land of dreams and shadows.
As for Ranma’s dreams and shadows...the computer sifted through the jumble of Ranma’s brain, picking up neurons here and there, finding what it could, and helping wherever possible.
Some could not be helped. It did put in what self-defense programs it had, however; Ranma still wanted to be the best, and every little bit would help. While Ranma would not Know Kung Fu (thank goodness his father had taught him that years ago), he would at least get some added benefit to his skills, primarily to his defensive abilities.
If it stopped there, Ranma might have been relatively unaffected by the machine. Unfortunately, Ranma had some experience that almost no other man could claim.
Ranma, put simply, had half of himself that he’d never had a chance to explore; any chance to try to understand what it’s like was always met with hostility. Sometimes he wished he could know what it was like to live as a girl...
Social interaction (female)... complete.
Mannerisms and etiquette (female)... complete.
Fashion (female)... complete.
Sexual education (female)... complete.
Sexual technique (female)... complete.
Ranma wanted the fighting to end. He was tired of the constant battles, the kidnappings, the challenges for his hand or Akane’s, the violence and chaos that seemed to be his lot in life. Sometimes he wished he could be some peaceful housewife like Kasumi...
Domestic service... complete.
Cooking... complete.
Advanced cooking... complete.
Flower arrangement... complete.
Family planning... complete.
Family accounting... complete.
Baby/Child care... complete.
Ranma wanted Akane. Problem was, Akane was always calling him a pervert because he changed into a girl. He really wished he could do something about that...
Lesbian seduction... complete.
Having finished its scan of Ranma’s brain, the link sent a mental wake-up call to Ranma, then shut down.
Ranma sat up, eyed the room carefully, then looked down at himself. “Oh, my... this will never do,” he whispered demurely in Klingon. His clothing - indeed, his body - was all wrong, especially for what he had planned for this evening. Oh, there was so much to do today...
