“Please, Mama? I just want to know.”
Setsuna sighed. “I could guess that, but trust me... you don’t need to know this yet. All the others want is a chance to sink their claws into papa.”
Hotaru blushed. “Setsuna-mama, it’s me isn’t it? Am I your mama?”
Setsuna chucked. “And they wonder where I inherited my brains... Yes Hotaru-chan, you’re my mother, or will be eventually.”
"But, Setsuna-mama, how can I be your mama?!?"
"Well, you and Father were rather randy one night. I'm sure you know the mechanics of it from there, Mother."
"Erk!"
"Yes, and it seems you were right about the odd Star Wars reference as well."
Ami chuckled at Setsuna’s dry wit, while Makoto and Minako began bemoaning their poor luck.
“How could he go for Hotaru?” wondered Minako.
Makoto chimed right it. “Yeah, he had us!”
Setsuna looked over to the two and scowled. “Maybe because he wanted someone good natured and sweet who was not possessive and wouldn’t intrude on his privacy or chase him around like bitches in heat.”
The Senshi of Venus and Jupiter gawked at Setsuna in surprise.
“Man, that was cold,” muttered Haruka.
“Hey,” Setsuna growled. “When they scorn Hotaru, they aren’t only making fun of my precious little girl, they’re making fun of my mother.”
“Setsuna-mama?”
“Yes Hotaru-chan?”
Setsuna smiled, “Yes Hotaru?”
“How can you by my mama if I’m your mama?”
Setsuna smiled, “We’re in a parody of something called a ‘Grandfather Paradox’. In that form a paradox a person goes back and time and biologically becomes their own parent. In my case, I only raised my mother.”
“Are you still my mama?”
Setsuna pulled her psudo-daughter/mother into a close hug. “At the moment, of course I am, but one day, you have a little baby girl that will one day be me and it’ll be your responsibility to be the best mother you can be. And you will, you and papa are going to be the best parents a little girl could ask for.”
