Which, due to the usual luck of Nerima, was two minutes before two clueless bumblers ran down the alley.
"Quickly Saotome! We must make sure this opportunity is not waisted!"
"Growf," said the overweight panda, looking at his middle. [You do know that joke makes absolutely no sense in Japanese?]
The two found themselves in a forest glade and ignored all the subtle clues that this was not a good place to be.
"You there!" Soun said as he ran up to some gaijin tramp from her clothing. "Can you direct me to the wizard whose domicile this is?"
The Sorceress regarded the man and panda. "Wizard? There's only a sorceress here."
"Oh. Pity. We needed some powerful wizard. Do you know when he'll be home?" Soun said, ignoring the way the Sorceress was looking distinctly more unhappy as the conversation continued.
"I am the Sorceress. Do you have a problem with that?" On a level this was quite amusing. Mostly not.
"We need someone really powerful, miss. Oh well, come on, Saotome. We'll check one of those other addresses."
"Not quite so fast," said the Sorceress, using a prepared spell that transformed the two into twenty-something curvaceous females. "You were talking about power?"
