Wow, it was almost impossible to wrap his mind around that fact, but there she was right in front of him, hybrid form and all. It was hard to believe they had gotten married just last night.
Of course it wasn't one of those big fancy weddings with all the food, friends, or anything 'magical' except a gown Lydia had found and gotten fitted the day before that she would always treasure. But with all the troubles that the rat clan was giving them, they didn't have the time or money for much else. There had only been a middle of nowhere chapel and their two best friends to witness it.
Not that Lydia really cared. She had what was important to her, and was resting in his arms right now. It was almost too good to be true, and she was expecting to just wake up any moment now and find herself back in the leprechauns hands, or Gothworn's, or about half a dozen other people that would just love for her not to see the next day.
Plus, it wasn't like remembering how the two of them met would be of much help to affirming this was real, even now Lydia didn’t think some of the stuff she remembered was grounded in reality...
