*DING-DONG!*
"Oh my, I'm busy in the kitchen," called out Kasumi, "Nabiki, would you get that?"
The middle Tendo sighed as she got up from where she was watching television. "Yeah, yeah. I'll get it. Probably just some salesman trying to snatch some cash from us." She padded over to the entryway and opened the door.
And froze there with her mouth wide open.
Standing there before her were five individuals, four men and one woman. Each of the very muscular men were over six feet tall, square jawed, and were wearing expensive tailored suits and sunglasses that hid their eyes. The woman was a bit shorter, but still tall and wearing a power suit that still managed to be very feminine.
"Miss Nabiki Tendo, I presume," stated the woman.
A bit out of it, the teenaged girl could only nod.
"Very good. I am Saoko Nagasawa, and I work for the law firm representing a corporation that you recently did business with."
"Umm... Who would that be?"
"Why, Cyberdyne."
"You aren't here to offer me a job, are you?"
That seemed to amuse Nagasawa, and she raised an eyebrow. "Not at all. In fact, they seemed to have had some rather... unfortunate difficulties arise from what you have done."
"They... did?"
"Oh yes. Such that they had to stop the prodution of entire lines."
Gulping, Nabiki hoped that what she feared hadn't come to pass. They couldn't have found out.., could they? "What's the problem?"
"It has come to light that the images that you had given us have not been given permission by those who were the 'donors', so to speak."
"I got the papers..."
"Likely forged, especially considering the fact that we have at least one confirmed instance of this occurring."
"You... do?"
"Yes, which means that you have a choice."
"Which is, do we discuss how you will be... repaying what you attempted to cheat our clients out of here, or..."
The four really big men moved to stand around Nabiki and stared at her.
"You can come with us to our offices." Nagasawa gave her a smile. "For a nice little... chat."
Licking suddenly dry lips, Nabiki looked for a way out while:
