"Yeah," Wolverine said. "He changes shape."
"So he is a mutant," Ororo gasped. "Could it be Mystique trying to infiltrate us?"
"Only if she's learned how to change the way she smells," Logan said.
"I agree with Wolverine," Xavier said. "There is nothing in the boys mind to indicate he is actually Mystique in disguise. But it is unusual that Cerebro failed to identify such a power."
"This ain't a power," Logan clarified. "It's a magical curse."
"Explain," Xavier said, leaning forward in his chair.
"He apparently fell into a cursed pool that changes whoever fell in it into something else," Logan said. "From what I gather cold water activates the curse and hot water deactivates it."
"That'll make keeping things secret just a little more difficult," Xavier said. "I also note that he is not generally used to keeping his skills hidden."
"You got that right, Chuck," Logan said. "I had snap at him to keep him walking on the ground until we got to the car."
"Perhaps we should speak to Henry about rigging a system to keep him from changing," Storm said. "But if it is indeed magic, then I fear technology is not going to be of much use."
"That is my impression as well," the Professor said. "Hmm, we'll just have to impress upon him the importance of staying unnoticed until some solution can be found. Now, what about Miss Braddock."
"We were not the first to find her," Storm said. "She was being held and trained, as an assassin I suspect, at the 'academy' her parents had sent her too. Nor was I the only one to discover that, her elder brother assisted in her rescue and has warned me that he'll be keeping an eye out for her."
"Understandable," Xavier said. "And the people behind her training?"
"We'll keep a watch out for anybody suspicious," Wolverine said.

"Ninjitsu," Ranma noted. Betsy blinked in surprise and colored in embarrassment trying to figure out how he figured that out. "Not bad, either."
"What are you talking about," Betsy asked, arching an eyebrow.
"Phbt, right," Ranma said. "I know a ninja when I see one, its all in the walk. Like you're not there, and, even if you're there you're not important. But you still move like a fighter anyway."
Betsy paused and looked at Ranma's walk for a moment.
"And what is your style?" she asked, firmly.
"Anything Goes," Ranma said proudly. "Saotome School."
Betsy nodded faintly but she didn't recognize the name of the style truly.
"And you are a mutant as well?" she asked.
"Nah," Ranma said. "My mom is and she wanted me here cause I got some bucketheaded mutant POed at me."
Betsy blinked in surprise. A human among mutants, and he wasn't concerned with it?
"Excuse me," Rogue interrupted in English. "What are you saying?"
"That's private," Betsy said, frowning irritable. "What is the matter with you?"
"He's our brother," Kurt said. "And we want to ask him questions about our mother, but well..."
"Neither of us speaks Japanese," Rogue said. "An' all he does is ask for candy an' lollipops an' soda."
Betsy blinked at that.
"Would you mind if I translate?" she asked.
"Oh, first Mr. Logan and now the new girl, she's trigger happy today."
"Shush, blue boy."
"Why aren't your lips moving right?"
"Hey, it's your lips that are movin' funny."
