Ranma Goes Shopping!: The Setup [Episode 44289]

“Sure, Kasumi. What can I do?” The martial artist arrived quickly. “Is the hot water out? I’ll call a plumber if you want.”

“No, that’s ok. I’m just in the middle of cooking and I forgot to get a few things. Could your run out and get them for me?” At his nod of assent, Kasumi smiled. “Oh good. Now here’s some money, and I need a loaf of bread, a container of milk and a stick of butter. Do you think you can get that for me and be back within the hour?” She handed him a fistful of yen and looked at the clock.

“Oh yeah, no problem. I can be there and back in a flash. You won’t even know I’m gone!” He turned to leave the kitchen. “A loaf of bread, a container of milk, and a stick of butter.” He shrugged. “That’ll be easy enough to remember.” The boy sauntered out of the house, the money in his pocket jingling.

Outside, the heavens thundered and a bolt of lightning streaked across a cloudless blue sky.

• Ranma is stopped on the way by Shampoo. “Airen have money to take Shampoo for date!”
• Ranma is drawn in by the smells at Ucchans. “Well, maybe one won’t hurt, as long as it’s quick.”
• Ranma is challenged by someone. (Ryouga? Kuno? Someone else?)
• Amazingly, Ranma makes it to the market with no interruptions.
• Something else happens.
