"Hello Pooky! Aren't I going to show up all those nasty people in the asylum and make them realize that they can't lie to lock up brilliance like mine and not face the wrath of Doctor Cog. No siree!"
He also talked to his stuffed bear with frightening regularity.
"They said that I was crazy, you know. That I needed treatment for my 'psy-cosis-es' and all those yucky medications would help me. But all they really wanted was to keep me where they could see me, and dope me up so they could use my genius to make all the breakthroughs that they wanted."
Pooky, as an inanimate object with thread making up his mouth, said nothing in return.
"But I got out of that nasty place. And I'll get even with that naughty doctor. Yes, I will! She'll learn not to tease me with her body like that! But first I have to get everything that I'll need. And that includes all the neat little gadgets and gismos I can get."
That, again, Pooky had no answer for.
"You know what though, I'll have to start right away with my plans, and then I'll make sure that everyone knows that I'm the Boss!"
And so, the not-at-all-sane mad scientist went about looking about his hideout, while:
