"Gone," Belldandy said sadly, crying. "His 'soul' died."
"She's living corpse," Urd said. "This is what I was warning you about. It's worse than death. There is no passing on, no ressurrection, no surcease from troubles, no reward. There is merely an end to existence."
"But she was there," Keiichi said. "And she made a choice on her own."
"The true soul does remain," Belldandy said. "But the fragment of her essence that was Ranma Saotome is no more."
"So Ranma's alive then?" Keiichi asked, hopefully.
"No!" Urd snapped. "The ifrit is alive, there is a soul, but its a blank slate. Ranma is gone, he almost might as well not have existed."
"Can anything be done to help?" Keiichi asked.
"It is a long process that takes much patience to help a new person develop in the vacuum," Belldandy said. "You could do it, but it would be best to leave it to someone else. Someone experienced and capable of defending the genies better than we could for now."
"I know just the person," Urd said.
