Aboard this ship was the notorious space pirate, and former Prince of Salusia Kalen. He had given up his claim to the throne so that he could reach for, and hopefully one day, attain his dream. His 'Everest'.
No, he did NOT want to be a space-pirate. In fact, he deplored most space pirates. What Kalen wanted to achieve was far greater...
He wanted to be a CHEF!
Sure, while most would consider being a chef an unimportant calling, it meant the universe to Kalen. Especially since Kalen's father, the King of Salusia, refused to let him become one. It was with a heavy heart, but a clear head that Kalen gave up his right to the throne of Salusia. Sure, he was no longer a prince, but it was important for two reasons. First, Kalen was doing what HE wanted with his life. Second, he had stood up to his father.
"And I intend to make sure that father won't have his way..." Kalen promised as he stood on the pilot's bridge of the ship. He took enjoyment, knowing the freedom of being a pirate. It went against the 'order' that the Salusian Empire had set into place throughout their section of the Universe.
However, his joy of being a captain was interrupted as one of his men started running into the room. "Captain, Sir! Our computers intercepted a message and we discovered your Father's recent plans."
"What!?" Kalen asked in surprise. "Bring it here!"
The shipmate of Kalen's crew ran up to Kalen, a paper in his hand. "Here, captain. The latest message from Salusia to your sister's ship."
"My sister?" Kalen asked in surprise. "Odd. Usually the ships of the Royal family have FAR securer lines of communication."
The crew member nodded his head. "Apparently the message never made it to it's area of reception and we were able to intercept it."
Kalen took hold of the print-out that the crew-member had brought him. he read over it for a moment, his expression changing from shocked, to even further shocked, to angry, and then settling off on annoyed. "Lietenant."
"Yes, Captain, sir?" The crew member stood at attention.
"Set course for the Milky-Way Galaxy. The third planet from the sun." Kalen said in a commanding tone. "We're heading for Earth."
The member of Kalen's crew saluted. "Ay, ay! Captain!"
Kalen turned back to the steering command of the ship. He was angered with what he had read. While Kalen had, more or less, understood that Asrial did have feelings for Jeremy, he was surprised to learn that the Salusian King had decided to drop Jeremy in order to choose another representative. Some boy named, 'Ranma Saotome'.
Still, Kalen would not allow this! He would not allow his sister to be forced to marry someone she hardly knew!
"I can't have him force Asrial to marry an Earther in a loveless marriage to further his schemes!" Taking hold o fthe steering column, Kalen called out, "I'M COMING, BABY-SIS!"
"Oh my..." "
Man and I thought WE hated him Ranma..."
"Hey Ryoga!"
"You know her?"
"Of course she's my cousin Usagi's daughter from the future!"
"Yep, oh and Ryoga I'm engaged to Ranma, imagine that?"
"WHAAAAAAAT!? RANMA! PREPARE TO DIE!!!"
"What is it?"
"It's a who, not a what. A 'Ranko Saotome"
