The defenders, and he was only guessing at that, were comprised mainly of women. There was one male there, but he had been targeted first and taken out quicker then Ryoga ever got lost. One woman, a strange looking half cat was busily dodging globs of acid that would shoot forth from the creatures mouths, and what looked like poison from their stingers every so often.
He scratched his head curiously at that. She wasn't even attacking, at least, not much. Every so often she would manage a strafing hit on one of the creatures, which while it did damage them, it wasn't nearly enough to stop one. He had to applaud that little kids tactics, though. Whenever she managed to hit one, he would pull the injured one back into a kind of support firing position, allowing a fresh one to take it's place.
Another of the woman, clad in shimmering blue armor while wielding what looked like a turrent that had been ripped off a tank. She was forced into a support role, it seemed, but even still she rarely ever got a clean shot to fire from. That ninja looking dork, while busy with the other woman for the most part, still found the time to chuck throwing stars at her so she'd be forced to dodge rather then fire.
"Seance! Wake up!" another of the women cried, hovering over the downed boy as two of those freaky creatures moved in for the kill. She was a weird one, silver resplindant hair perhaps her most enticing quality, once you got over the horns and her rather robust figure, but to something like.. whatever he had become, she looked like a whirlpool of energy, slowly fading away as the seconds ticked by. It wasn't a big drain, but it was present, which only left him wondering what the heck was the purpose of it all.
The last woman was taking the most heat, and he could easily see why. While the first girl was only able to occasionally wound the beasts, the other had managed to slay three out right before their attackers adapted to her. While she managed to score critical hits against her attackers from time to time, once those three human adults joined in her fight she quickly found herself on the defensive. She was a martial artist, he could tell that. A really, really good one too. She just couldn't deal with those three fighters plus the ten or so beasts trying to smother her in their deadly fluids.
He debated momentarily about interfering in this little battle, or slipping away and let things go on as they had. He had left Nerima and his family so he could figure these new changes out, get some control over what had happened to him, hopefully people would forget about him and allow him some peace. His internal debate didn't last very long, not very long at all.
As one of the creatures over the unconscious boy, and that weird girl, raised it's stinger to finish it's job, Ranma found himself moving before he had even completed his thoughts. Still invisible, the only mark of his coming being the sudden earth shaking force that descended upon the area, toppling some of the monsters and fighters alike as they lost their balance, he snapped his mighty jaws, catching the creature who had been about to kill this 'Seance' guy in his jaws, before chomping it viciously in it's mouth.
Genn has seen many things in her long, long life, but there was something about watching a creature ready to end the life of some one she cared very deeply for, only to get yanked up into the air by something that wasn't even there and subsequently have it's flesh rended by some invisible terror that left her in a state of disgusted awe. The air rippled them, become waving as a creature began to meld in with reality. Massive dark purplish scales were the first thing she identified, followed by a long extended neck and brutally efficient jaws cacked with the red ichors of the creature hanging loosely from it's mouth, the beasts screams having ended some time as it was chomped to death in the creatures deadly jaws.
The creature spit the beast out, where it slammed into the ground, nothing more then a bloody mess of what it had once been. Turning it's burning blue eyes from the dead creature at it's feet, the gigantic dragon took in a deep breath, whips of flames escaping from it's lips as it did so. A sickening wail emerged from it's lips as it exhaled, a steady stream of hot death spewing forth and consuming the largest group of beasts in a torrent of deadly Dragon's fire, they skin roasting, before the heat of the flames melted it off, leaving little more then charred skeletons admits liquefied flesh and organs. The stench was overwhelming.
The Dragon turned it's heated gaze on Peewee as fighting all over came to a stop at his appearance. Ionis decided cowardice was the better part of valor, immediately pulling away from Julia with Zelda and Dashi in toe. A fight with the Diggers they could handle, a fight with something like this, no way in hell.
"Boy.." the dragon snapped in it's telepathic voice, that single word spoken with so much contempt none there could stop from shivering at that. "... you face something beyond your pitiful slaves ability to handle.." he smirked, gleaming teeth shining meanancingly as he neared up to the frightened child and then whispered. "Boo."
That did it. Peewee screamed like a girl, taking off in a run as if the flames of hell were on his ass.
