Ranma was feeling out of sorts at the moment. The dream he had before awakening bothered him, as did the aftermath. Dreams of fighting pandas and eating all the food he could eat is understandable, but a dream of peace and contentment? He almost never had dreams like that, except in the occasional Kuno-related nightmare. It just was not him to have that sort of dream.
He looked to the girl busy eating her meal beside him and wondered if she had anything to do with it. He remembered who she looked asleep. She was actually pretty cute when she wasn't acting all Shampoo. He'd thankfully left that crap behind in Nerima. The pleasant memory of her scent and the touch of her soft skin brought a flush to his face.
Kurumi noticed his flush and placed her meal down. “Master , are you all right?” Kurumi asked in a solicitous tone.
Ranma dropped his bowl and chopsticks with a squawk as the pink haired Angel grabbed him by the front of his robes and turned him to face her. Tenderly, she placed a palm over his forehead to check his temperature causing Ranma face to go from a light pink to a bright red.
“He is fine” replied Kamahito in an amused tone. “It’s a sign of maturity, that is all.”)
“It is? Oh, master I’m so happy!" exclaimed Kurumi as she pulled Ranma into python-tight glomp. Ranma’s face began to turn an interesting shade of purple as the oxygen was cut off from his head.
“Ack, can't breathe! Air! Air!" Ranma wheezed as his arms waved wildly. He finally managed to speak coherently. “Ehh…do you mind Kurumi? Kurumi reluctantly released her grip.
Ranma turned to look at the people at the other side of the table. The expressions on their faces were giving a case of déjà vu of his time in Nerima. It was best he was on his way before anything else strange and weird happens. Time to do what he liked best to do: martial arts training. He turned his attention to his breakfast and crammed it down his throat in one gulp. He then turned to his teacher.
“Sensei, I’ll be heading for the waterfall. I’ll be there if you need me for anything.”
Kamahito nodded. “You going to practice those exercises we discussed, correct?”
“Yes, sensei.”
“Kurumi is going to come with her master!"
Ranma gulped. The last thing he wanted was an Amazon wannabe pestering him and ruining his quality time. Ranma thought fast and figured out a way to keep her at the shrine.
“Ah, Kurumi? Why don't you just stay back here and help out Kamahito-sensei and Nakahito until I get back! They'll tell you what do... gotta go, bye!" Without another word Ranma all but teleported out the door, leaving a confused Kurumi behind him."
Kurumi looked at the doorway and sadly asked Kamahito, “Why doesn’t Master want me with him?”
Ranma waited a few moments after leaving the house to make sure that Kurumi wasn’t going to follow him. He strode away in relief. He strode out of the house in a firm stride, putting away disturbing thoughts of this morning from his mind. He was almost at the top of the temple steps when he met someone. He met…
