"So that little moon bitch thinks she can steal my man again does she? Well this time she's not going to get away with it."
Life, as a whole, had not been altogether that even handed when it had come to the former Earth noblewoman now known as Queen Beryl. She had been born a gifted individual, magically talented, charismatic, intelligent and beautiful. Under her rule the kingdom of Paltheia went form a small backwater realm to a world power. Many princes and noblemen (even a couple of women) sought her hand.
However the all quested in vain for Beryl had her heart set on one special person.
Endymion, the high prince of all the realms of Earth.
She tried many ways to capture his heart, to bring his love to her. However in cruel jest fate made her suffer the same fate that those who had sought her hand had suffered, for prince Endymion was already in love with the princess of the Moon.
More tragically yet was the fact that for all her talents the ruler of Paltheia suffered a single terrible flaw.
Once she seized upon an idea she would never relinquish it. Finding that both her womanly wiles and her political manuvering had failed to bring her what she wanted she turned to her third talent. Magic.
At first it wasn't anything to dangerous, she merely bound some spirits of chance to ensure that she got to spend more time with her love. Or maybe entreating a beauty spirit to make her a bit more attractive to his eyes. However when these too failed she cast a spell of great power to bid the love goddess Venus to bind his soul to hers.
But the golden goddess told her that the love between Endymion and Serenity was fated and blessed by the most High. She told the mortal queen to abandon her desire and seek love elsewhere.
But the love that Beryl had carryed in her heart would not relent, instead it hardened into a cold hard seed that in time sprouted forth vines of jealousy and bitternes. Creeping vines that consumed the light within her and turned a once pure love into a deadly obsession.
The rest, as they say, is history. Beryl, in her growing maddness, summoned forth the banished Demon God Metallia and sacrificed her entire Kingdom to her. When the dust settled from her great war she found herself loked away in a dark dimension, her conquests lost, the prince whom she had sought dead at her own hands.
Small wonder her sanity snapped.
Now, as far as her dementia addled mind could understand, the fates had sent her a second chance. A man more handsome and more powerful than Endymion had been sent to her. No doubt he sought the hand of the beautiful and talented Beryl of Paltheia. Oh, how flattered she was.
But once again that little bich of a moon princes was in the way. Not content to steal Endymion she was now trying to steal her future husband. Well she'd soon see about that! All she had to do was release Metallia and all her enemies would be destroyed.
It seemed that falling in love once again and then seeing the same Moon Princess who had ruined it before once more in the way, at least from her deranged perspective, Beryls last fragile holds on saity had fallen apart. She now lived not in the real world, but in a world that was a patchwork of memories, fantasies and delusions.
"NOW GREAT METALLIA!" She shouted as she stood before the Demon Goddesses cacoon, "DESTROY MY ENEMIES AND BRING MY LOVE TO ME!!!!!"
Metallia was a being of immense power, easily able to surpass a First Class goddess with an Unlimited licence who had had her limiters removed. Her strength was sufficient to leave entire solar systems barren of life, to destroy those who weilded the might of planets. She was, however, not without weaknesses.
The first and most obvious of these was that she could not defend herself against the pure white power of the Ginzuishou. The second, and less evident, weakness was that she could only move against a world if a mortal willingly summoned her there. In that reguard she was similar to a genie, almost unlimited in power, but she could only use it at the request of another.
Now, as per the contract that bound her to Beryl, the fallen queen made a request of her. Under normal circumstances Metallia could have absorbed Beryl into herself, destroyed the Senshi and then been free to use hr power as she wished since the absorbation would have negated the contract between them.
Unfortunatly Beryls maddness gave her the power she needed to fully bind the dark spirit to her insane will. Metallia had no coice but o fulfill her wishes.
Oh yes, Metallia was not a happy camper.
