In Nerima, Ranma was running for his life. All of the regulars were after him in mass, crying for a date, his blood, or other bodily fluids (mostly those who were crying for a date).
Suddenly, Ranma accidentilly knocks over some tea onto Miss Hinako, who had just come out of a cafe. One "Happo Five-Yen Satsu" later and everybody was drained of their aura. Everybody but Ranma that is. He was just standing there, looking himself over in shock that he hadn't been drained. Hinako looked on in shock as Ranma continued to stand after the drain, and infact didn't seem to have lost any of his aura.
Deciding that he must have learned a new technique, Hinako uses a "Happo Fifty-Yen Satsu" to drain him, but it to had no effect on him.
Unknown to either one of them, it was because of Ranma's newly awakened x-gene. One of its effects was that it prevented outside forces from draining his energy (there may be more effects, I don't know at this time).
So as Ranma went on with his daily life, and Rogue packed for her trip to see her fiance, the marriage contract became allot more plausible.
A.N. I intend for this to be a Ranma/Rogue pairing. I think Rogue has possibly the worst mutation possible, because it keeps her totally alone, and there is nothing worse than that. And I also think that Ranma could understand her, because even though he is always surrounded by people, he also seems to be completely alone.
