When her duplicate slid open a port on her left forearm and hooked up the phone jack, it brought the realization home that this was indeed exactly as advertised. A robot version of herself.
Akane's thoughts were briefly a blur, and was typical of someone without a lot of self-discipline (something that no practitioner of Anything Goes really had a lot of truck with) she didn't really register the odd conversation occurring over the phone as she was bombarded with a lot of non-linear thoughts and observations. Something along the line of:
She really is an android me? That means that Kuno... brrrr. Ranma better not get me a toaster or something for my birthday! I wonder if we can be friends? Do androids dream of electronic sheep? Does this mean I can get a Shampoo android and order it around? Is anyone I know already an android and I never knew it? I'm gonna pound Nabiki. Maybe I should try Zoloft. I didn't get anything for Kasumi for her birthday, did I? I wonder if I can get her a toaster like I did last year? How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie pop? I'd better warn my double about perverts like Ranma showing up. I wonder if my double could take Thursday's algebra test for me? How many angels can dance on the head of a pin, and why would they? That's a fairly cute outfit but is it practical for housework? I wonder if it comes in my size? How did Ranma get enough money for an android? If life is but a dream, who is the dreamer and are they using illicit substances?
"Thank you," said the android to empty air and quickly disconnected herself and hooked the phone back up.
