A dog had chased a cat into a glowing pool that had been one of Ranma's attempts at curing his curse. Hence the humanoid dog-girl and cat-girl, named Akane and Nabiki respectively.
The blue eyed blonde he'd nicknamed Kasumi because he had such problems with a foreign name was his boarder. A foreign exchange student from abroad.
It was a pity that he had no daughters to pair Ranma up with, but that was life wasn't it? Always throwing you a curve ball when you least expected it.
As for the busty beautiful girl who was staying here while attending a local college, well, "Kasumi" was certainly a nice girl. Her real name, however, was:
