Which was all the more strange because he was following Happosai, and the old freak was not trying to grope or molest any girls along the way. The old pervert just settled for leering as they passed, and still managed to stay happy with that. But for some reason, he inisted on going on this trip, and dragging the two fathers and Ranma along.
"How much further?" asked Ranma as the founder of the Anything Goes style watched a pair of girls in sailor suit uniforms go by.
"What are you talking about my boy? It's such a nice day, can't you enjoy the scenery?" Happosai told him.
"You've made me come all the way out here without tellin' us where we're goin' and ya want me ta 'enjoy the scenery'?!"
"That is true Master," cautiously agreed Genma, "Where are we going?"
"Why..," said the old freak with a flourish, "up there, of course."
The three younger men looked where he had pointed and saw some stairs that lead to a temple up top.
"That's where we're going?" questioned Ranma in disbelief.
"That's what I just told you. Come on then, hurry up!"
Genma and Soun nodded and hurried after their Master while Ranma shook his head before following. They climbed the steps in silence, trying to figure out what was going on.
When they got to the top, they found that there was a raven haired young lady in preistess' robes sweeping the stones there. At the sound of their footsteps, she looked up and put on a smile. "Oh hello. May I help you?"
"You sure can sweetie! Where's the priest of this temple?"
"Huh? You want to speak with him?"
"Of course! Now where is Hino, huh?"
A voice sounded behind the priestess. "So Happosai, you have the nerve to come like this?"
The priestess turned to the small old man who had spoken. "Do you know these people?"
"The three younger ones, no. But the old coot leading them. I sure do."
"Who are you calling a coot, you codger?!" demanded Happosai.
"I was calling you that, but you seem to have lost your hearing with your youth."
"How dare you?!"
"How dare you come here like this?"
"It's been a long time!"
"So long that you forgot the sake?"
The aged pervert shrugged. "I would have, but one of my so-called students had to drink it!"
Genma slunk back a bit while Hino shook his head. "Just be glad that we have plenty."
"That's great. I need some. Being a martial arts sensei to this bunch is hard work!"
"Then you made it? You succeeded in your dreams?"
"Not all of them, but I've got my Heir right here!"
Ranma glared at the diminutive fighter. "I am not your Heir!"
"Kids these days..."
"Grandpa, what's going on?" asked the priestess.
"This is my old freind Happosai. We used to spend our times hanging around together in our youths."
"And this is your granddaughter?" asked Happosai.
"Yes that's my grandaughter, Rei."
"Then our promise can be fulfilled!"
"What are you... Oh that one. I hadn't thought about it, but you could be right."
Happosai walked a circle around the girl. "She seems to be very pretty. Nice and tight in all the right places..."
She turned a bright red and swatted at Happosai with her broom. "You pervert!"
"She's a real spitfire too. I like that."
"Grr..."
Hino peered at Ranma. "He doesn't look too bad..."
"Hey! I'm the best martial artist around!" snapped the pigtailed boy.
"That's good."
"What are you talking about Master?" asked Soun.
"Well, back before we set out to fulfill our dreams," his Master told him, "Hino and I used to while many a day away with just sitting and talking about what we would do."
"And one day we were talking about the future," inserted the priest.
"And we came up with a pact of sorts, but we had to skip the first generation for certain reasons. But now you can fulfill it!"
"What sort of 'pact'?" asked Ranma with a sinking sensation of dread.
"Why, having you marry his granddaughter!"
"WHAT?!" yelled Ranma, Genma, Soun and Rei all at once. They all stared at the two old men, who looked plenty pleased with themselves. Both were smiling proudly about their strategy.
But they were the only two, and they were happy while:
