Usagi had found herself waking up to a monster liberally spreading Masterpiece ® Barbecue Sauce on her person. This was not a regular occurance in her house. Neither was her response, which would be along the lines of screaming her head off and running about like a chicken with its head cut off, or transforming into Sailor Moon and fighting it with love and justice and ridiculous speeches.
No, Usagi's response was more along the line of her beating up the monster with her bare fists.
Now, if this were not your standard-issue Usagi —for instance, if this were Son Usagi, daughter of Son Goku— you'd expect Usagi to beat the living snot out of the monster. If the monster were just so wimpy that it couldn't fight its way out of a wet paper bag, you'd expect Usagi, while in the process of freaking out, to give the thing a good sound smack, sending it crying for its mommy. If Usagi was being visited by that monthly visitor, then the sheer savagery of a menstration-induced psychotic fit would take down a monster of average power.
Heck, you might accept a total fluke as an explanation.
None of these were true.
