Ranma's Cute Kryn: Because Something's Always Got to Cause Trouble... (DARK) [Episode 46589]

by Red Priest of the 17th Order

The universe is a vast thing indeed. In it, amongst the endless blanketing of starts, there were thousands upon thousands of planets; a good deal that were with sentient life. One such planet was far out, a good 2.3 billion light-years from earth, and was a good deal of distance outside the border of Salusian controlled territories. A planet that, from a distance, looked like a rounded nugget of gold.

This planet was Aebra. Home of a cat-like race of people known as the 'Kryn'. A race who's planet had finally recovered from a great war with the Dynasty of the Stars, after a good two years. Life had gone on, buildings were rebuilt and refurbished, and the small population, a little more than 10,000 of the survivors of Aebra and El Dorado had gone through a bit of a baby boom within the span of two years.

And currently, on the planet, it was something of a international holiday. Their Empress had found someone to love, and was married. Also, word had been recieved that El Dorado's prince, Stryyp'Gia and his wife were expecting their first child. It was truly a joyous ocassion for the peoples of Aebra.

However, the peace that was coursing through the people's of Aebra would soon be shattered by an unexpected force...

(------)

Primus sighed contently as he walked about the Imperial Palace. He could hear the joyful music playing from outside tha palace walls. There was such life an gaiety all about. And Primus felt especially happy. He had been the advisor for Stryyp, but had stayed on Aebra to help the people of El Dorado help rebuild their homeworld, and advise the Archon with the knowledge of his experiences on earth. And knowing his former ruler was expecting a child was such a happy thing.

"Such a wonderful thing..." Primus thought happily. "And with the Archon being married as well, it might not be too long until she has an heir for the throne of Aebra..."

Primus smiled and continued to walk through the halls, waving to the gaurds he would pass by when he would reach a doorway. The golden Spartan-like armor shone brightly with the rays of sunlight that came in through the many stain-glass windows. With halbreds held at their sides, the gaurds were an awe-inspiring sight to be sure. "Though they still need to be trained more thoroughly, in case war was to break out..." Primus thought. Even in times of peace, it was best to prepare for war. It was the reason Aebra had suffered as badly as it had when the Dynasty first came to the planet. The Kryn were a very peaceful race, and unprepared for the horrors that the Dynasty of the Stars could commit.

As Primus turned a corner and started walking down a hallway to his right, a stray thought went through Primus's head. "Hmm... If Archon Jalliele and Achran Ranma were to have a son... Perhaps it might be best to consider an arranged marriage between their son and the daughter of Stryyp and Britanny..." A smile crossed his face. "It would most certainly strengthen both bloodlines, to be combined, and I would not mind my lord Stryyp taking an active role in... Aebra's... Affairs..."

Primus just stood there amonst a crimson-covered floor in utter shock as he came upon a most horrible sight. A battle had taken place, a bloody one. There were the horribly mangaled and mutilated bodies of eight of the gaurds. The chest-plates of the armor broken, and awash in a stain of crimson. Weapons were strewn about and broken. And the faces... The faces of the soldiers were awash in fear, some looked as though they were still screaming until their bodies had expired. "Good lord..." Primus barely managed to mutter.

Looking around the room, Primus saw that there was a glass case and level. The alarm. Looking at the floor, one gaurd was propped up against the wall, his arm straight up, having died before he could sound the alarm.

Ignoring the horrible feeling of walking on blood, Primus made his way for the small lever. He was going to alert ALL palace gaurds. This was a grave matter.

*SHING*!

Primus reared his head back and screamed as he realized a dagger had just been thrown, stabbing through his hand, and keeping it to the wall. He then felt a sharp pressure press against his back, and could hear as the cloth of his robes were beginning ever so slighty to tear as more pressure was applied.

"We meet again... 'Old friend'..." Came a deep male voice, one that seemed to hold little content for Primus.

Primus's eyes widened. "That voice... It couldn't be..." He turned his head around and first concentrated on what was stabbing him. A Shaku. A one-handed reaver was pressed against his back, but was not cutting skin... Yet... The black gloved hand held tightly onto the blood-stained weapon. A strong, interestingly encrypted chain that was connected to the hilt of the small scythe was wrapped around the forearm rather tightly, almost as if grafted onto the skin, from above the the sleeve of the coat's surface.

Willing his courage to look up, Primus found himself staring at his assailant, who happened to be another Kryn. The man was somewaht tall, standing a good 6'3". He had matted, dark gray fur. He wore a black leather general's coat that had gold trim. The coat was open, showing that the man had a sight black body-suit on, as well as black gloves and boots. The face, while older, was still VERY familiar to him. He could never forget those piercing green eyes. "My lord... M, Master Lyynx'Gia!"

The one known as Lyynx smiled a bit evilly. "Good to see you haven't forgotten who your true lord and master is, Primus..." Lyynx hissed out. "I would have thought you would have, having become accustomed to capering to the whims of a feeble Empress..."

Primus was breathing heavilly, totally unbelieving this situation. The lost king of El Dorado, Stryyp's father... ALIVE!? "M, my lord... How is this possible? And why are you attacking us?"

If Lyynx's smile could have widened, it would have. Practically hissing his response, Lyynx said, "It was a simple matter, really... The Atlantian soldiers had cornered my wife and I... Beaten us... Tortured us... And left us for dead..." He paused for a moment, his voice hardening. "But, the artifact I had... The Aero Driver had an effect of healing winds... I survived..."

Primus eyes widened as he realized that the shaku that Lyynx was holding was not just a weapon, but was one of the ancient Artifacts. "I, I see, my lord... What is it you want of us? Why appear after so long? Why would you go on such a killing spree?"

Lyynx chuckled rather morbidly. "Isn't it obvious? I want MORE of the artifacts. WHERE ARE THEY!?"

Primus would have sworn he felt his blood run cold.
