"I know a little about Shampoo's problems," Ranma began as he sat down, "An' I can guess more. How long has Mousse been chasin her like he has over here."
"Too long," Khu Lon muttered half to herself, "It seems ever since he knew desire, or even earlier, he's been persuing her... and warning away any others."
"Yeah, he's good. Probably good enough to take almost any guy in yer tribe and at least half the girls, right?"
"But not strong enough for you of course," Ku Lon chucked, "so you see why Shan Pu expressed such interest from when you got her attention"
"That just it!" Ranma blurted, "She ain't after me, she's after anyone Mousse can't scare off or worse!"
"And what do you advise, Boy?" the elder asked pointedly, "Do you think it would be easy for her to strike down the man-child she considers all but her brother?"
"Naw," Ranma noted grimly, "but the only reason he's only tryin to gut me twice a week is me tryin' to keep away from Shampoo. If anyone seems interested in her, sooner or later it'll come down to Shampoo making Mousse back down before someone get's hurt... or worse."
"Or perhaps putting him down, if it comes to that." Ku Lon stated as he stared into Ranma's eyes, reminding him of an option the innocent boy reflexivly shied away from.
"Yeah," Ranma admitted sadly, "or that."
