Ranko scowled, adjusting her towel. "Never mind that now. What are you doing here and what is that ship? Have you turned pirate? What happened to your Jedi oaths? And what are you going to do about the damage to my ship?!"
Ranma waved both hands, palms out towards his distraought twin sister. "Hey, easy there now! I got pulled out, as well. It had to be just a rogue asteroid, wandering into the lanes. Look, I'll pull up alongside and take your freighter onboard."
She glared at him, partly in relief, part in surprise, mostly in envy. "So where did you pick up a corvette?"
"Marauder-class corvette, thank you. Not those silly, underarmed, overmanned Corillian ships." Her brother corrected, suavely. "I'll tell ya in a minute, when we don't have to say it over an open channel. Now shall we get back to the penis envy?" He joked.
Ranko scowled. "I thought it would throw off pursuit. You and I have practically the same Force signatures, and I thought if the Empire got confusing, conflicting rumors about where you were it would extend both our lives." Her scowl transformed into a smirk of victory and relief at seeing her brother again. Tears moistened the corners of her eyes. "Looks like it did."
He nodded, relief and gladness marking his face also as their ships pulled together and hers began to ping with the sounds of hull stress shifting as it entered the atmosphere of the corvette's docking bay. The sounds brought Ranko to her senses. "Hey, we should get out of here. I've got an imperial cruiser I only just outran crawling up my hyper trail."
Her brother gave her a cocky nod. "Power down your ship. Right now you're just a freighter in an anonymous, and fully shielded docking bay, on a registered trade escort. If anyone shows up looking for ya, I ain't seen nothin'."
Smiling for the first time in far too long, Ranko touched the controls that turned her freighter's little power core cold, audibly winding down.
"Hey, get dressed." Ranma told her. "We're going..."
