"It's all so nice of you all to come and see my latest invention," cheered Washu, "Nobody didn't come!"
"It's not like you would let us stay away," muttered Ryoko.
"What was that?"
"N...Nothing! Really!"
"That's good."
"Umm... Miss Washu," asked Tenchi, "What is it?"
"I'm glad that you asked! It's my handy dandy, one of a kind, gateway portal generator!"
"That's... nice."
"You're not impressed."
"Oh no! It's not that! It's only..."
"Yes?"
"What does it do?"
"It's very simple, if you have an intellect like mine! This here is a device that can allow me to warp time and space to create a doorway to anywhere in the universe!"
"Anywhere, Miss Washu?" asked Ayeka.
"Anywhere! Mars, Jurai, or even beyond! Heck, it's so specific, I could put myself on the Emperor's lap if I wanted to!"
"I don't think that he'd like that," commented Mihoshi, "But maybe we could use it to get groceries quicker!"
"Listen you. This is a technological wonder that will revolutionize the way that we travel! We can go to see all the wonders of the universe! It's not for a quick trip to the market!"
"But..."
"I said no!"
"Miss Washu..."
"Don't you understand? I told you that this is something too advanced for something like that!"
"It's not what I was going to say."
"Then what do you want?"
"Is it supposed to be sparking like that?"
The redhead turned and saw that the ditzy policewoman was right. Her latest masterpiece was sparking and the problem was definately growing. "That's not supposed to do that."
Just then there was a flash of light, and when it faded, everyone was still there save one.
"Where's Tenchi?!" screeched Ryoko.
All those in the room looked around for him, but to no avail. Of the teenaged boy, no trace remained. Which brought their attention back to Washu.
Washu looked at them flatly."It wasn't supposed to do that either."
On a planet elswhere in the universe, a human was having an arguement with an alien.
"I'm tellin' ya D, I'm sure that it's around here somewhere," the human told the alien.
"And I'm sure that your device is capable of doing what you said John, but we haven't found anything of yet."
John grinned back. "Don't worry D'argo. We detected some sort of wormhole activity to around here. And with the nearest Peacekeeper patrol several solar days away, nothing can go wrong. I didn't say that, did I?"
There was a rustling in the bushes and D'argo nodded. "Yes, you did."
Pulling out his pistol, John groaned. "I gotta stop doing that."
The two of them pointed their weapons at the rustling, taking ready stances. Both kept themselves steady and silent for what could be coming. Wild animal or armed foe, they would be ready for it.
After a few moments, the bushes parted and a boy of about seventeen stepped out from behind them.
"Where the heck am I now?" moaned Tenchi Misaki while:
