A word from the Author. This thread was inspired by an Issue of XXXOPHILE from Phil Foglio. One of the 'best' american erotic comics out there. If you have't read one, why not?
The three teenagers walked along behind the old woman, who made good time hopping along on her staff. They soon arrived at the entrance to the Tendo enclosure. The gates were open, but the opening was filled with the same pinkish-red, electrically charged, material as the dome that humped high in the air above them.
Nabiki felt a wave of relief as she saw Kasumi and Shampoo standing a few feet away. Several grocery bags cluttered the ground at Kasumi’s feet, and she was staring at the barrier blocking her from her home with dismay. Shampoo was also staring at the barrier, and her look bore more than a touch of caution. Nabiki’s internal radar went off when she saw the expression on Shampoo’s face. The Amazon was almost as suicidally brave as Ranma at times, and if that barrier gave her pause . . . well, Nabiki intended to stay well away from it.
“What is this stuff?” Ranma asked, extending a finger to poke at the crackling stuff. “Hey, watch it!” he shouted, barely dodging a vicious swing from Cologne’s staff.
Cologne let out a sulfureous oath that none of the Japanese natives could understand, but from the expression on Shampoo’s face, it must have been a dilly. “I told you to stay away from that barrier, you fool!” she said to Ranma.
Again, Nabiki’s personal danger sense twinged, and she decided that it was time to leave this to the professional crazy people. “Come on, Kasumi,” she said to her oldest sister. “I’ll buy you some tea, and we’ll let the experts look after this.”
“Oh my, Nabiki. I couldn’t leave. Not when Father and Mr. Saotome are trapped inside.”
“What, Dad, and Mr. Tendo,” Ranma exclaimed. The curiosity that had filled his gaze turned to a worried frown. Something that people who had heard Ranma curse his father might have found strange.
Akane was also looking toward the gate with renewed worry in her eyes. Nabiki on the other hand was back to her usual calm manner. “Well, at least you’re using the present tense. I take it they’re still presumed to be among the living?”
“Yes, and Mousse as well,” Cologne said.
“Mousse is in there?” Ranma and Akane said at the same time, with different inflections. Akane with concern, Ranma with annoyance.
“What was he doing here?” Ranma asked.
“Stupid Mousse cause problem,” Shampoo exclaimed. The annoyance in her voice contained not one ounce of worry, but a whole lot of fulminating anger.
“Just what is the problem?” Nabiki asked. “You did say you would explain.
Cologne’s angry and frustrated expression changed to one slightly sheepish. For a second, Nabiki did not think she was going to talk, but then she gave a sigh, and said, “It’s Zeus’s ball.” Cologne’s expression showed that she expected a less than serious reaction to this news. She was not disappointed, but, as it turned out, in a pleasant way.
Nabiki blinked. “I beg your pardon,” she said after a minute. “Is this some legendary playtoy of the gods?”
Cologne looked surprised for a second, and then let out a loud guffaw. Wiping a tear from her eye, she said. “Thank you girl, I needed a bit of comedy. As for what it is. I suppose you could say it was a plaything of the gods, the female ones. At least, based on the old legends, that’s what Zeus liked to think.”
Akane and Ranma looked blank. Kasumi blushed slightly. Nabiki took in that blush, considered Cologne’s words, and said, “You mean, literally, one of Zeus’s balls?” She blinked, and then continued. “Wait, shouldn’t that be plural?”
“Legend vary on that point. Some say Hera only took one as a warning, others say that’s all she could snatch before her husband woke up. Still others say the second one is lost, and that when it is reunited with its mate, Zeus will be reborn. Whatever the case may be, the story is that the jewel is literally, one of Zeus’s testicles. Of course that’s only a legend.
“Jewel?” Nabiki said, her eyes dilating slightly.
The ball resembles a round faceted ruby, about ten inches in diameter.” Cologne let Nabiki drool for a minute, and then added. “Of course I said it only resembled one, and considering the effect it would have on anyone trying to examine it, it is unlikely its true nature will ever be known. Over the centuries, we Amazon’s have decided that assuming it is actually one of Zeus’s testicles allows us to at least some have understanding of why it does what it does. And, also to predict, with some chance of success, what it will do in a given situation.”
“Ghaaa,” Ranma exclaimed, suddenly understanding exactly what Nabiki and Cologne had been talking about. “That’s sick. Where the heck did Mousse get something like that!?”
Zeus want's his ball back. NOW!!!
