Haruka looked hurt. "I've never been in the closet!"
Michiru rolled her eyes. "When we were discussing the need for subtlety and finding a diplomatic solution, you brought up some plans I'd rather not mention here, and you were left tied up and gagged in the closet."
"Oh that," said Haruka with an off-handed gesture. "I managed to roll out and make my way to the kitchen where you conveniently left a bread knife out. After that it was easy."
"Hmmm," said Ami, making a note that all silverware should be put away if they were in this situation again.
"So, how about the first battle being for this area here?" Kachoo asked, highlighting a portion of a conjured globe.
"Where's that?" Usagi asked.
"Australia," identified Ami. "One continent at a time?"
"Or we could go with region if you prefer," said the Thing From Another World with a deferential wave of two tentacles.
"That might work," agreed Ami. "With a 'World Series' at the end?"
"Fine, fine," agreed the Entity. "There seem to be a number of rules involved, so shall we all agree to the proper rules of sportsmanship overall and individual contests be by the set of rules applicable to that contest under normal situations?"
"The first contest shall be," Haruka paused dramatically, seeing a chance to eliminate this Evil Invader early on, "to the death and it shall involve swordfighting!"
"Haruka-chan, don't be an idiot," said Michiru, but meaning it in the most pleasant possible manner.
"What?" Haruka asked.
Setsuna cleared her throat. "Because this Being just demonstrated enough power to teleport us across the globe without apparent effort, with pinpoint accuracy and my use of my own powers trying to keep me anchored."
"Because," said Michiru, "I attempted to scry this Being's power level and true motives and the results were... not conducive to an open battle."
"Because we don't get many Invaders who are actually open to dialogue and I would like to see this trend continue," said Ami.
"Because I don't want to die," said Minako simply. "Or did you realize that under those terms if you die, we ALL lose?"
"Hey," said Haruka. "What makes you think I'd lose?"
"I see, you require a demonstration of power," said Kachoo. "Very well. And... there."
Everyone looked around and didn't notice anything. Except for Ami who started scanning with her computer and gasped.
"What did he do?" Setsuna asked, guessing she wouldn't like the answer.
"I couldn't resist," said Kachoo.
"What did he do?" Haruka said with a slight feeling of Doom settling into the pit of her stomach.
Ami turned her computer screen to show that this Eldritch Being had just:
