“Ryouga?” Nabiki asked, urging Kasumi to continue.
“He showed up this morning, after you had gone to school. He was so tired, I made him up a futon in the dojo. He was still there when I went shopping.”
Everyone digested this. Shampoo’s face took on an expression of dismay, but only for a second. She put on a brave face, and said, “Bah, Husband beat all of them.” No missed the hesitation in her voice however.
“Has anyone noticed that Happosai is not here?” Cologne asked. “I can assure you that the aura the ball puts out would have attracted him like a bee to honey. The fact that he is not here tells me two things, one, that he’s not able to get here, or two, he’s already inside. And if he’s inside . . . I fear things are far beyond anything Ranma can hope to handle.”
“I have a hard time believing anything could make the little pervert and worse than he already is.” Nabiki said.
“That is the problem. Happy doesn’t have any inhibitions. I’m afraid the ball won’t have any effect at all on him. I don’t have a clue as to what might happen if he’s in there. And that worries me greatly.”
