Three apparent teenagers stared at the screaming cat-girl through a shimmering pool of water, looking perplexed.
"What happened?" somebody asked.
"I'm not sure," came the answer. "I cannot explain this. The 'curse' we put on him...her...it...isn't supposed to do anything like this."
"Perhaps," a new voice said, sounding irritated. "If you had bothered to do some research on your subject you would have realized a few things...like the fact that your 'subject' already had six curses?"
"Six?"
"A curse to attract both extremely good and extremely bad luck, inherited from Kishijoten, the Japanese goddess of Luck, a few generations back. The Neko-Ken, from his father, which as you know is a rather over-protective spirit bond to the individual in question. A Jusenkyo curse. A curse to attract water that is really an undeveloped elemental capability resulting from an distant relationship to a dragon. A curse to attract random, powerful martial artists. A curse that makes him talk before he thinks. And now you add this last curse."
