"Kasumi?!" Akane exclaimed, while Ranma started… "cleaning" herself. "How did you get here?"

"Well... I'm not quite sure what happened inside the barrier, before I came in, but I believe that Nabiki managed to turn Ukyou-chan back female, after... well, afterwards. The barrier opened again, to allow the balance to be restored, and I was able to step inside."

Akane gasped. "You went inside?"

At this point they were joined by Cologne and Shampoo. Shampoo and Ranma sniffed each other in greeting and both recognized the scent of Akane on the other, so they examined each other more thoroughly and then started grooming each other's fur.

"That was most unwise, Kasumi-san," said Cologne.

"O-neechan! What if one of the boys had… jumped you?" Akane asked. What if one of them had been me? she added silently. I know I wanted to nail Nabiki until she squealed and then- She frantically squelched that thought, blushing hotly.

"Oh, Ranma's friends Mousse and Ryouga-kun wanted to do that - but I told them that I had no time for that. I had to find the jewel, after all." Kasumi smiled at them, causing both Akane and Cologne to facefault, which startled the catgirls out of their grooming session momentarily.

"I found the jewel and the pouch in the Doujou - Mousse must have forgotten them there - and I put the ruby into the pouch, just as you said, Cologne-san. Everybody calmed down a lot after that. Except for Ranma-kun and Akane."

"You handled the stone with your bare hands?!" Cologne exclaimed. "Didn't you… feel something?"

"Oh yes," said Kasumi, her eyes shining happily. "It felt quite invigorating. It must be very nice to have a jewel like that around your village." She held out the wrinkly, saggy pouch to Cologne, who very carefully took it in one gloved hand. The Amazon elder eyed Kasumi with newfound respect.

"Oh my!" said Kasumi. "We mustn't forget Ranma-kun and Shampoo-chan." She raised the kettle and emptied it over the two catgirls, whose grooming had progressed to a very… intimate stage.

• Instantly both turned back to their uncursed forms.
  
  "Aiya! Airen happy to see Shampoo!" <slurp>
• But the hot water had no effect!
• Both returned to their uncursed forms, but it was soon discovered that their cursed forms were now playful and amorous catgirls.
• Both returned to human, but Ranma was now locked as female. Congratulations to the young mother!
• Meanwhile Nabiki sat in the furo, soothing her sore body and plotting how to get at that ruby. A gem that huge, she just had to have - no matter magic obstacles stood in her way.
• Akane watched, as Kasumi doused the two catgirls she had covered.
