"Hey, Shige!" Noa called as she climbed out of her Ingram, "Could you check the right leg? Alphonse was walking a bit funny, I think I might have stepped in something."
"Oh, no problem," the second-in-command of the Mechanic squad said a few moments later. "Just looks like you stepped on some schmuck author who was breaking the fourth wall. A little water, and Alphonse will be just fine."
"Oh, good." Noa was obviously releived. "For a moment there, I was worried something was really wrong."
"Hey, Noa!" The Labor pilot looked up at her partner Asuma Shinohara. "Captain Goto wants to talk with us!"
A few minutes later, Noa walked into the captains' office. Asuma was already there, as was Goto and a severe looking man that Noa only vaugly recognized...
