" The Phoenix...and looks like someone I know came to greet us." Ranma mumured as he saw Kima among the Royal Guard of the Phoenix Tribe. Waving Ranma called out. " Yo Kima, long time no see."
Kima blinked at the werecheetah. " Pardon me but I don't recall meeting a wereche....SAOTOME?!" She cried recongizing the voice.
Ranma shifted to human form to help comfirm that. " Yep." He then shifted back to hybrid form. " Before you ask why I'm a werecheetah..don't ask..long story."
Kima glared at Ranma, while she was STILL not very happy at him for killing her Lord Saffron and forcing him to be reborn again so soon, she knew messing with him was inviting trouble. " What are you doing at Jusenkyo this time Saotome?"
" Research." Ranma bluntly answered.
" Research?"
" More or less, ya'see a few..weirds things have been going on and we thought Jusenkyo might have something to do with it..seems we were half right so we got our answers and we're leaving." Ranma replied.
" And while questions are being given, why did you fire an arrow at me?!" Seance demanded at Kima.
" Ever since the....incident concerning Saotome here and Lord Saffron..the will of Jusenkyo has requested we Phoenix keep things in check so its not abused. Also some magic user tried to destroy some of the were springs...and succeeded in destroying the werecheetah spring some months ago." Kima answered.
" There was a Werecheetah spring?!" Theo, Seance, Ranma and the Rats exclaimed.
" Yes....and like all the werebeast springs the cursed one is stuck in their curse form for keeps but can access a human, hybrid and animal form like a true lycanthrope because of Jusenkyo's influence on the springs."
" Sounds like Gothwrain..only he would be so...adament as to risk Jusenkyo's wraith by destorying the werecheetah spring." Theo muttered angrily, another chance to revive the werecheetah race...gone.
" You know of the cur who tampered with the springs?" Kima asked her question at Theo.
" Depends if he was a wererat fire mage. "
" The cur DID ua fire magic...never saw his face though. He wore a cloak."
" Yep its Gothy..." Ranma concluded. " Sounds like we have a common enemy Kima. Maybe we could work something out?"
" What do you have in mind?" Kima inquired.
" Let's talk then."
