Brianna smiled lightly and rested her head on his shoulders. " Well I want to thank you because you always considered me my own person and not just a sum of Gina & Britanny."
" Sheesh Bricahn let's not go into that again, you are YOU! Not a damn clone or nuthin' I thought the fact you entered a damn era that Brit & Gina were unable to return too." Ranma said with a teasing sternness.
" Have I ever told you, you are irresistably wonderful?"
" I have heard it on occasion." Ranma allowed, but he was smiling.
A loud scream of esctasy emmitted by a certain werecheetah in the next room indicated the activities were still going strong.
" Sheesh can't they be quieter there are other people trying to sleep....Ranma?" Brianna asked notcing Ranma griped the railing hard and was slightly trembling.
" Damn....I..I dunno why but...hearing them....it..it hurts.." Ranma said slowly and in a stuttery manner. Upon seeing his face it was etched in an expression of internal agony, and he was obviviously holding back tears. " Shit...I'm so stupid..I knew it was too late but I f*ckin' let myself fall for her anyway."
Brianna held Ranma tigher. " Your not stupid Ranma, it..you didn't see it comming. You didn't know you'd your feelings would get stronger instead of dying out."
Ranma sniffed...it was getting harder to hold it all in. " Yeah but, dammit I wish I was stronger...I mean I knew for almost forever it was hopeless to be with Brit....and yet....I can't...let go...shit.."
Brianna bite her lip she was feeling an urge to cry too from seeing Ranma in pain. Her heart went out to him, she had loved Stripe like he loved Britanny, and like him never said anything about it and didn't act on it more than playful teasing/flirting. The only person/s who knew she wanted more was Ranma, Genn, and possibly Gina & her Mother.
What made it somewhat easier for Brianna to accept and take in stride better the situation was the fact she had more emotional outlets to help her ease the pain. Ranma did not, in Nerima he had to bottle his emotions even more as to keep the fools there from making his life even more miserable or a jealous Nerima girl seeking Brit's blood. Not to mention with his lousy Father raising him for most of his life he wasn't very emotionally adept until recent years..but even then he still was emotionally incomplete somewhat.
Upon hearing Ranma finally lose his resolve and begin crying, Brianna held him tighter feeling herself begin to cry with him. They both had lost out on the ones they wanted.
AN: Well this last episode gave way to this and now its choosing time. A bit sooner than I expected but here's the deal. Originally at a crosspoint Ranma would either go to Jade with Brianna which would seal a Ranma/Brianna pairing. Or go to the Civ Alpha site with Gina & co. which would set events to bring about Ranma/Gina pairing and start the Chronos storyline faster.
Option one & two will help seal a Brianna/Ranma pairing, while the other options can go around and can allow for Ranma/Gina or some other GD girl, or even NHS girl in later chapters.
