Well, actually he'd been launched from a nuclear turtle mecha and just happened to crash down in the nearby forest, but beggers couldn't be choosers after all.
Sir Keitaro "Jack" Urashima the Ronin. Known not for his mighty blade, nor for his great cunning, nor even his abundant courage. Nay, Urashima was merely below average in most heroic traits. His magical sword "Hinata" was cursed, 7th grade algebra gave him problems, bad luck was his norm rather then the exception and young girls regularly wiped the floor with him (literally).
But he did have *one* useful talent.
A damage capacity that boggled the mind. Virtually nothing could kill him. Beat him, electrocute him, drop him off a cliff, stab him, crush him, bury him and still he fought on!
"Oooo, my aching head..."
Not that he got through such ordeals unscathed though...
"Where am I now? This doesn't look like the city of Todai."
Spotting what looked like a town a few miles away, the luckless ronin prepared for a long walk.
