On one particular sidewalk in Tokyo, a literal tall dark figure strode down it, being given a wide berth by the various pedestrians. The various pedestrians seemed to give him a six foot or so bubble of empty space as he walked, if not getting off the sidewalk completely.
Most of the men were put off by the menacing figure he cut in the black leather pants and boots, with only a partially closed black leather trench coat for a top. Most of the women,(and a few men) were staring for much the same reason, just with a different reaction.
The rest were put off by the feeling of wrongness that crawled up their spines like a swarm of oily insects. Most of the people so effected were looking at the strange twisted organic shape strapped to his back, though others were busy feeling ill.
One young girl admired the cute kitten-like cat he cradled in his arms with the strange blue shock of hair atop its head. Why Mister Tall-dark-dreamy stranger obviously had a sweet side under it all.
Ranma, for his part, was used to this sort of attention, only from low class demons. Not that he was such a bad guy, but wielding Setsuna and being the bringer of Death tended to do that. Of course, it might also be due to his tendency to rip demons apart when he was wearing his Mal-Guyver armor as well. Actually, it may have been his tendency to rip apart demons without either weapon, but that only worked on the common demons. Maybe it was his reputation in the Makai that lead to the weaker demons avoiding him like that? He didn’t really care about the results, just as long as the weaklings didn’t bother him, he was happy.
Almost imperiously, Ranma strode down the street, letting people get out of his way. He had been told that walking the human world would be more difficult, that people would object, but they were treating him just like at home. Why if they were treating him this kindly, Rei wouldn’t have to stay in her kitty form.
Flashing a smile of happiness, some of the pedestrians fainted in fear, while some of the girls (and one odd guy) fainted into warm puddles of goo.
