" Ah I see your awake now young one, how do you feel?"
Ranma looked at the cat-lady. " I feel okay now I think, a little sore but okay." In all honesty when he woke up he felt like his whole body was ablaze in pain, but it was slowly fading away nicely.
Livia was internally impressed, either the child was being humble and downsizing his injuries, or he had good healing abilities. Then again it might be the healing properties of the chestplate artifact at work. " Well that's good to know, what is your name child?"
" Ranma, Ranma Saotome miss..?"
" Livia, Livia'Mew, I am the Priestess of the city of El Dorado." The Kryn woman replied, and smiled lightly. " And I see you've met my apprentice Tanya Rey, and Prince Stryyp'Gia."
Ranma looked at Tanya and Stryyp. " Your a prince?"
Stripe chuckled a bit sheepishly while he was the Prince of the Kryn he was humble about it and wasn't one to flaunt his title. " Well, yeah. Truth is I really don't do much ruling as I'm still just a kid. Primus helps me out with matters of the people and such."
Ranma didn't understand some of what Stryyp said but he nodded anyway. He turned to Tanya. " So your learning to be a priestess too?"
" Yes, Teacher says I have a knack for magic and I want to learn how to use my talent." Tanya replied a bit shyly.
" That's cool I'm learning to be the best martial artist in the world...WHOA!" Ranma had pumped his fist in the air, which then cackled with power and shot a small ki blast making a simple hole in the ceiling. " Uuuuh did I do that?"
Livia sighed. " Ranma, someone stole a battle-set of our ancestoral artifacts and has sealed them within you, that is why we brought you here because the process nearly killed you."
" Papa...almost killed me?" Ranma asked the last part trailing off in a small whimper.
Livia winced at the whimpering, sad look on Ranma, and a flair of rage boil within her. " So that theif was the boy's father..." She thought to herself. " In all fairness Ranma, your Father may not have known that, but that doesn't excuse his stealing our artifacts or leaving you in severe pain we we caught up with him. I hate to say it Ranma but it seems he left you behind more worried about his own neck then your own."
Ranma's face became more etched in saddness, Papa left him? First he hurt him with those things, then he left him when he was hurting?
Tanya, Stryyp and Livia all felt twangs of sympathy for Ranma as they watched him slowly begin to tremble and tears forming in his eyes. Sighing Livia knelt by Ranma placing a hand on his shoulder. " Ranma, I know your Father's abandonment hurts, being alone hurts..." She said with even more sympathy. " But you don't have to be alone, if you want you can live here with me, I'm more than willing to take you in."
Ranma looked up at Livia sniffling. " R-really?"
Livia smiled warmly. " Really, your more than welcome to stay, and I'll also gladly help you learn to control the artifacts within you."
" Will they help me become a better martial artist?"
" Like all tools Ranma they can only do that if that is what you want them to do." Livia replied sagely, giving the young human boy a hug to help sooth him.
Tanya and Stryyp looked at each other, both making a silent vow to also help Ranma settle into El Dorado better. Besides they could make a new friend, and new friends were scarce.
" Its getting late children, Lord Stryyp, Tanya both of you return to your rooms for the night, I'll take care of things from here." The Priestess said firmly yet kindly to the two young Kryn.
" Yes ma'am." Tanya replied. " G'night Teacher."
" Good night Priestess Livia."
" Goodnight children."
When they left Livia wiped some drying tears with the sleeve of her robe. " Let's get you to bed too Ranma."
" Okay..."
AN: Incase anyone is curious Stryyp, Ranma and Tanya are all 6 years old, with Stryyp born first, Ranma a month or too later, and Tanya 3 months after Ranma.
