The Clouds-of-Mind Incense he read of was not only good for both of these, but it took a week of using the three different types of incense for her to bond into his influence, a process that could easily be seen as perfectly natural. One or two types had no effect, and missing a day meant you needed to start over.
The best part was, Ranma discovered, that this didn't negate her mental capacity at all. It simply and gradually obsessed the incense inbiber with honesty and openness, gradually rendering her honest and completely compliant. It could easily be reversed by the Incense provider afterwards, as well, a bonus in Ranma's eyes.
Nabiki always was the biggest scare, but also a object of fascination. Her hedonism and casual control of her enviroment were things he'd envied in her for some time. And he always did have a liking for lasses with short hairdos...
It was coming up on the time for the Tendo to reflect on Souin's wife. As it happened, Ms. Tendo had died a couple of weeks after her and Soun's wedding anniversary. Ranma trying to come up with a suitable rememberance gift would not be out of place. And frankly, Ranma thought she'd appreciate something to take her mind off her Mom this time anyway.
Ranma made three sets of incense, color coded for the dawn, the evening, and just before bed. The two set to go to the other Tendo sisters were not set to bond them, but Nabiki's set had his sweat and a drop of his blood in the formula, so it would activate, and bind her slowly to him.. As he headed over to deliver Nabiki's Incense, he thought on how his last 'Baka, you can't even shop!' chewing-out was perfect cover for him to have gathered the ingredients.
He knocked on the door, asking "Nabiki, are you there? I have something for you." The wily middle Tendo opened it, wearing a robe and, Ranma decided, not much else. He blushed at the idea of what he could do with that in a week, but with a bit of stutter, it looked like his cluelessness about gals. So far, so Good.
"Yes, Ranma? Hmm. Maybe I-" She teased out about making a fuss, a sure bet for the Wrath of Akane, but Ranma just stuttered harder then said blandly "I got you gals some incense to burn. you know, if it makes ya feel any better. The sticks are marked for the time you light them. I-I made them myself." He truly did feel bad about the Mom thing, so this went easily enough.
"I see. Saotome, you aren't as clueless as you let on, at times. Shame you can't keep it up, but there it is. Thanks. You handed out some for the others, you implied?" She noticed the faint pride he showed for a blink, but mistook it for pride he didn't miss a detail.
"Yeah, but don't feel I left you for last from nothing crazy, okay?" He made a point of backing into his room, just calling out a "you're welcome" before he closed the door. Then he laid back, thinking And now, we shall see what we see, and test this..
