Space. A mostly empty void and silence since sound doesn't travel in it. For an unknown amount of time a very large object as been traveling it.
It is the space ship/base/transformer known as Scorponok. While retreating after an attempt to take over Cybertron, the Decepticons and their ship were sent into space. They were shot so far from Cybertron that they had to enter stasis lock(and cryogentically freeze their Headmaster and Targetmaster partners), except for a skeleton crew.
Now all the Decepticons are being awakened. They have found a resource rich world the world of....
