"Do it now, Sailor Moon!" was the collective cry of the Sailor Senshi.
Sailor Moon began powering up for one final shot as she faced down the monster before her. This demon had appeared out of nowhere, even catching Setsuna by surprise, and caused massive destruction in Tokyo. And then, just when they thought they'd won... it retreated back through some kind of rift in reality. And Pluto and Mercury had confirmed... if it was capable of creating such rifts... then there was nothing they could do to stop it from returning.
Except follow it. And destroy it once and for all.
That was what led all nine senshi and even Tuxedo Mask to this pocket dimension, to fight a powerful, destructive entity in its own home.
Sailor Moon's final attack blasted into the creature with the full force of the moon princess and all her court, inner and outer, behind it. Yet when the smoke cleared, and the demon stood before them seemingly unharmed, they felt a moment of despair. At least until it started turning gray, and crumbling.
"Yes! We did it!" Sailor Moon cried. Then she turned and looked at Mercury.
Mercury nodded. "We'll need to get going, before this place begins to collapse..."
"I curse thee..."
The senshi gave a collective blink. Before this point, the demon had never spoken.
"I curse thee all." The demon intoned again.
Mercury glanced at her computer. "I don't think we need to worry... it doesn't have enough power to hold itself together, much less curse any of us."
"Power in death, there is. Great power. I use my death for curse. Thou shall see, what it is like, when all hate and fear thee." And with that dire phrase, the demon fell apart into dust.
"I... don't like the sound of that..." Sailor Moon said, a moment later. "I think we should go..."
"Yes, we should hurry." Sailor Pluto agreed.
It was when the reached the rift back that things began to fall apart. Once they stepped in, the rift suddenly shifted color. "The rift is destabilizing!" Mercury cried, alarmed. "I don't know where it will send us!"
As the rift threw them across time and space, Sailor Moon heard the demon's words again. "Thou shall see, what it is like, when all hate and fear thee."
