From downstairs, there were loud smashing noises and the sounds of two women screaming in anger. The door was suddenly smashed into pieces, revealing Ukyo and Shampoo wielding their respective weapons. Needless to say, they were shocked at the scene before them.
There were different thoughts running throught the three women's heads, but they shared one thought that stood out above the rest:
"KILL RYOGA"
They charged as one and swung their weapons as one. Ryoga smashed through the wall and landed in the backyard, with Ukyo and the rest soon behind him. Ranma jumped down to the backyard, wrapped in a dark blue bathrobe.
Upon seeing Ranma, Akane forgot about Ryoga and shifted her attack to Ranma, chasing her around the yard. Seeing this, Shampoo and Ukyo attacked her for attacking "their man", forcing Akane to defend herself. To make matters worse, Genma and Soun appeared and started yelling at Ranma.
Before long, the weapons had been broken and the three girls were bickering with each other like never before.
"Airen belong to Shampoo-" "Ranchan is mine-" "You've disgraced to Saotome name, boy!" "Stop it, both of you!" "Violent pervert girl just want airen-" "The schools must be united!" "Ranchan could never want you, slut-"
"STOP IT! STOP IT!"
This last cry had come from Ryoga. It was so loud and sudden that the girls and men were shocked into silence.
"Why do you treat Ranma like this? She isn't a prize to fight over, or a forced heir to the dojo! She's a normal, free-thinking human being. Did it ever occur to any of you that maybe Ranma doesn't want to marry Akane or Shampoo or Ukyo? Or that maybe she doesn't want to unite the schools? That is what you want, not her. She is able to marry who she wants! She's married me and she's happy. She happy, can't you accept that? Are you all so selfish that you can't accept that? We love each other, and I will never let her go."
Ryoga took Ranma and held her close to him in his arms. There was a long, stoney silence.
"He's right." Akane and Ukyo said together.
Akane and Ukyo went to their repective homes. They had a lot of things to think about.
Shampoo went home in tears.
Soun and Genma headed home, intending to drink sake until they forgot this incident.
And Ranma went back upstairs with Ryoga, more in love with him then ever.
