When Akane, Ukyo and Shampoo had found Ranma alone with Misato earlier, no one had noticed that Kodachi had been present too. The Black Rose was no slouch in the stealth department and everyone was too preoccupied with the genie woman to be on the look-out for eavesdroppers.
Kodachi was considering getting out of her hiding place and adding her input on the whole situation (mainly asking of Ranma-sama why he would go after some older woman of obviously loose morals and breeding to play master and slave while she was there and quite willing) when Misato had somehow transported everyone to Osaka.
Many people considered Kodachi Kuno to be demented, insane, loony, crazy, not entirely there, a few fries short of a happy meal, the lights on but nobody home, etc... When she saw the creature looking like Godzilla emerging from the depths of the sea and doing his happy happy kill and destroy thing (like all self-respecting giant monsters visiting Japan), she proved she was not completely stupid and ran for it.
Like many people, she had momentarily stopped to gape at the arabian nights-style giant robot who had appeared to fight Godzilla. When the clash of these two titans turned in their defender's disfavor, she resumed her panicked flight.
When Sachiel/Godzilla opened his helsgate, the gymnast completely lost it. Of all of Ranma's fiancees, she was the only one who had never been exposed to Magic or the more weird parts of Ranma's chaotic life. Even her brother had crossed paths with the mystical world more than her, the wishing sword and the phoenix egg being the more notable incidents.
Now all her denials were for naught. She couldn't reject what she was seeing as nothing more than an hallucination. All around her, objects came to life, strange living things appeared out of portals and explosions of power sprang out of nowhere. She screamed and curled into a ball, sobbing and praying to whatever gods she knew.
Mystical energy flared nearby and Kodachi was caught in a burst of raw magical energy like the other fiancees had. The blast of the explosion sent her crashing into a deserted store. Losing consciousness was a blessing for Kodachi as the energy her body had absorbed was starting to painfully tear her apart.
But before the mana overload could make her explode into itty bitty bits of gore, something came into contact with her. The magic flooding her body latched on the offered template immediately, going into 'protective mimicry' as Misato had called it.
Akane Tendo and Shampoo had been changed into living elementals, fire and water respectively. Ukyo Kuonji was a steel golem. Kodachi unknowingly joined the club as she was now made of...
