Restart Point: Who to raise Ranma? [Episode 54418]

In some worlds, Ranma is orphaned, or taken away from his parents at a very young age. In others, Genma kidnapped an infant to replace his own missing/dead son. And in a few others, Ranma is not only 'not' related to Genma Saotome, but never even met the S.O.B. (no offense to all the canines of the world) ;)

But what kind of world 'is' this?

Ranma is taken away from Saotomes for his own protection!
Genma stole Ranma, they're not related.
Nodoka had an affair, so he's Nodoka's boy, but not Genma's.
Saotomes? Never Heard of them! (Ranma is neither related to, nor raised by the Saotomes)
He's Genma's illegitimate son, but not Nodoka's
Something Else?
